Navy Veteran Observes Large Cigar-Shaped UFO in Exeter, NH Featured Case

There was something odd in the sky last week, something that caused a Navy veteran with 10,000 hours of flight experience to have his own close encounter. "We noticed a very large, brightly lit craft flying low above the tree line. It was flying extremely slow in a straight line from east to west. It continued low above the main street and suddenly stopped. A close daytime sighting

August, 10, 2003 - Canyon Creek Subdivision, Yukon Territory, Canada

The witness was driving toward Whitehorse on the Alaska Highway just north-west of MacRae Subdivision when she spotted an object on Haeckel Hill. The object was cigar-shaped, no wings or markings and looked like the body of an aluminum airplane.  View full report

cigar shaped just hovering there - pinpoint lights alongside of it enough to show that it was a cigar shaped. At the ends of the cigar shaped object there were slightly larger red lights. It never moved, made noise, it just hung in there the whole time I watched it. Then suddenly it just took off upright toward the sky so fast and but it seemed like it just disappeared as it zoomed off.  View full report

Oscillating, orange cigar-shape object mesmerizes two young brothers

January, 1997 - Crestview Subdivision, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada

Two brothers age 11 and 13 were sitting in their living room. While watching television, something caught the attention of the younger gentleman's eye. He was shocked to see an orange cigar shape with a yellow centre as depicted by his drawing below. America West Airlines Flight 564 UFO Case Featured Case

May, 25, 1995 - Bovina, Texas, United States

A Boeing 757 piloted by Captain Eugene Tollefson and First Officer John J. Waller, was passing near Bovina, Texas. Captain Tollefson left his seat to look [at a line of regularly flashing lights]. As the lightning flashed behind the lights, it silhouetted something that to the observers appeared to be a large, dark, cigar shaped object between 300 and 500 feet in length.  View full report

Cigar-shaped object with three lighted windows seen by driver in Sweden

June, 1985 - Uppsala to Orsundsbro, Sweden

A woman driver who prefers to remain anonymous was driving home to Orsundsbro from Uppsala (Sweden) on route 55. After one mile, she saw two policecars blinking bluish lights, or so she thought. Later she saw the object again. It appeared larger than an ordinary helicopter. It had three lighted windows and a blindingly strong white light. Carl E. Moore, 14-years-old, was fishing with friends near Newberry, South Carolina, when he saw a 30-foot long cigar-shaped UFO land on the water. It was flying very slowly over the water, and then settled on the surface of the water causing steam to rise around it. At least seven persons spotted an unidentified flying object over Texomaland last Wednesday morning. Jim Shelton, mechanic at Jim Graham International, described the sighting and drew a sketch. "It was a flying object with lit portholes. Fire was streaming in sparks from the rear, and it had green and yellow pulsating lights," he said. "It was real. A large, low-flying cigar-shaped object with white lights shining from a row of "windows" and bearing green-blue and white "running lights" was sighted by a West Los Angeles resident on the night of April 19, 1981 at about 11:30 p.m. Taff estimated the object, which made no sound, was about 65 feet in length and about 15 feet high.  View full report

Cigar-shaped UFO with smaller objects observed in Jemgum, Germany

A 16 year old student, standing in front of his parents house, observed a bright spot in the sky. Through his binoculars, he could see that the object was cigar-shaped and surrounded by an orange-colored halo. This object filled 4/5 of his field-of-view in the binoculars. A Gigantic 'Cigar' Over the Atlantic In 1963

Almost beneath the DC-8, was a gigantic dark grey 'torpedo'. It seemed menacing and frightening, and I had the impression that it was stationary. It was utterly unlike anything that I had ever seen in my whole life. It looked as though made of steel. No portholes or windows were visible. No wings or projections. "At the lower end. . . there was a bright 'flashing white light ann at the upper end there was a steady red light. The Cressy sighting remains as one of Tasmania's best known UFO sightings. The cigar shaped 'mothership' and attendant discs were witnessed by the local Church of England minister, the Reverend Lionel Browning and his wife. Cigar-shaped object hovers near witness in Victoria, BC

1960 - Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

The witness, Miss M. I. Footner of Victoria, was walking her dog, when she saw a bright dot of light just over Little Saanich Mountain. The light grew larger and larger, until suddenly the object was "above me and became stationary." The object was cigar-shaped and about 100 feet in length. Later she learned that a friend who lived nearby, Miss Audrey Winderburn, had seen a craft of similar appearance while outside attending to her horse.  View full report

I saw that it was a cigar-shaped object, brightly lit and with square portholes, hovering just above my clothesline. I could see men inside. . ." The object was approximately 20 to 30 feet long and dark grey or black in color. It hovered motionless about five feet above the ground. On July 19, 1952, the attention of Customs Inspector Sr. Domingo Troncoso was called to a very strange cigar-shaped flying object over the river area. The big dirigible-shaped craft was flying horizontally and fairly low in the sky, passing from right to left from the observers position.
