Three Richwood, NJ, witnesses watched a silent, dark, boomerang-shaped UFO moving quickly east northeast after about 8 p.m. From the witness: "The moonlight caught on the shape and revealed it as the sharp-angled boomerang without further detail to the surface... From the witness: "The disk like craft came down directly over the church/rectory and hovered about 20 ft. above it.... It was disk-like with a very wide band of windows around the middle of the thing.... There were people/beings (?) looking down at me.... Two of them then were standing up and came up to the windows, and they just started down at me and the car.... I could see right into their craft. It was very brightly lit up inside." From the witness: "I noticed something that looked like silver sphere hovering in the air... There were no visible rotors, blades or cockpit. It looked solid to me and it was a good distance (1 mile?) away with a good amount of height (300 -500 feet?)." The size was "maybe 10 feet in diameter." From the witness' father: 'she then witnessed a triangular shaped craft hovering just above a tree in the front of her house. She said it was "five feet" away but from her description it was more then likely about twenty feet away from her window... it is a standard triangle with little lights making the triangle form on the bottom and one larger light in the center of it." CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite's UFO Encounter in the South Pacific (1950's)

In the 1950s Cronkite was part of a pool of news reporters brought out to a small South Pacific island to watch the test of a new Air Force missile... a large disc-type UFO appeared on the scene. Cronkite guessed that the object was about 50-60 feet in diameter, a dull grey color and had no visible means of propulsion. As Air Force guards ran toward the UFO with their dogs, the disc hovered about 30 feet off of the ground." View full report

When I looked up there was a very large square-possibly triangular, depends if I was seeing it at an angle, machine/craft whatever you want to call it. It seemed to be spinning from right to left and making slow banking maneuvers.... Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it. Locals swear that it was larger, quieter, faster and lower to the ground than an airplane. They also said the object's lights changed configuration, unlike those of a plane. From the witness: "I observed an aircraft, approx. 150-200ft above ground level and approx 300-500ft slant range from my location. It was rolling out of a right bank and the streetlights were illuminating it enough so that I could see a distinct silhouette of the fuselage and the underbelly. Three witnesses spot saucer-like object with windows

my impression was that of a saucer-sort of shape, with porthole-type windows with cross-bars. I could not discern the shape of the whole object, though, as the light from the windows was so blindingly bright. The description of having a saucer-like appearance is strictly an impression from my quick glance. Strangely, the windows seemed a little squared, and there were at least two, probably three, of them. View full report
