Appearance / Description of Object(s)Disk shape, silverey coloured with 3 lights, one in the middle, I don't remember if it changed colour or pattern, but the 2 outer ones were blinking red and fading. When it moved further away it changed all kinds of colours, sitting around 18th ave area for a few minutes, about 5 minutes before my family wanted to turn the tv back on. Size of Object(s)I'm not certain of where it was but if it was in botanical park, it would've been about 6 metres long or something? I'm not certain though. Description of Area / SurroundingsBotanical road reserve, possibly 19th ave. Has a kindergarten at one end, surrounded by houses and some trees. Urban area but the park is an empty grass field. Full Description & DetailsI've seen a few ufos around Tauranga and one in Papamoa East, have a few on camera, sadly not this one though. I had just gone inside the kitchen to make a coffee and I noticed lights reflecting off one of the windows of a nearby house.. "Ooh wonder if that's a ufo?", wiped the steam off the windows and saw the ship moving slowly about 5 or 10 metres off the ground, above the park. It was so close that I felt a bit scared to go outside. 3 lights, one white or yellow one in the middle, and 2 blinking red ones, one on each end horizontally. The ship was faintly silver. After I ran into the lounge to tell my mum and sister, it had moved further down towards 18th ave, where it sat stationary for a few minutes and we watched it change all kinds of colours.. Green, blue, red, white... Pretty awesome. They're a pretty common sight since I first saw one on the 31st of May 2012.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?Doubt it. It wasn't anything natural. It was definitely a ufo. Witness BackgroundI cherish my privacy sorry. Views on UFOs, before and after sightingBefore, I'd seen a lot of ufo video compilations and was interested in the human origin, and if there really is something out there. The only thing confirms a ufo 100% is seeing one with your own eyes. Before I saw one I reserved my opinion on them. After: they're the most interesting things I've ever seen. It arouses some pretty deep questions in my mind. What's in it? I'm looking at it and it might be looking at me? Are they truly aliens from other planets or are they Americans or Russians in a reverse-engineered disk-craft or something? The unknown is right there. It makes me feel both vulnerable and excited. The vulnerable part because I've seen them move incredibly fast, knowing they have the potential to instantly show up right at your feet kind of scares me. This particular sighting made me feel a bit worried because it was so close. I like to think that they're peaceful. I've seen ufos numerous times and they haven't harmed or intimidated me. There's no basis in my eyes for considering them an enemy or us an enemy. Other CommentsIf you're interested and haven't seen a ufo, all it takes is a lucky glimpse and you might catch one. Since May 31st I've seen at least 4 separate ufos, some filmed. I have a full camera, but no upload cords as I've misplaced them..
