Triangular. Equilateral Triangle. 9 lights forming three equilateral triangles. could have been three craft in tight formation, or just one very big one. Could not see any stars throught the object, so think it was one craft. Bigger than a jumbo jet.

Full Description & Details

The object that I saw was a large triangle. It was November 1977 and about 6.30pm. It was a clear, wtill night. There was no cloud and the starts were clearly visible. i wathced it for at least 10 minutes while I was driving home. I got out of the car on the top of the hill where there had been an old radar station. From there I could see the Triangle. I could not see any stars throught the object, and I could not see the sides. It was between 500 -1000 ft off the ground between Sandwich and Ash in Kent, England and was directly above the main road linking Sandwich to Ash. I used the Power Station as a point of reference

It was an equilateral triangle and had 9 lights. It could have been one craft, or if could have been 3 crafts in tight formation. I believe that it was one craft because I could not see nay stars through the object. It remained silent. There were no exhausts visibble and it suddenly went out to sea and disappeared. The acceleration to velocity was instant and not gradual and it vanished over the horizon in about 10 seconds. It was larger than a jumbo jet.

My father actually got out of his car and stood underneath it. An IT director that I met in 1983 confrimed that he saw it. He was to the Sandwich side. We therefore had three points of reference.

I never mentioned it because nobody had reported seing a Triangle and people would have thougth we were mad. None of the military craft that we now know about does not match this object.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I have not seen anything yet that it explains what we saw

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I remain extremely sceptical, but I would like to know just what we saw. I;ve seen Harrier Jump Jets, the Vulcan Bomber and the English Electric Lighning. They were pedestrian, noisy and tiny compared to this.
