Summary:

While walking on my property behind my home I looked up and saw a cylinder shaped object hovering in the distance approximately 500 ft up in the air. It was at first stationary, there was a light, oval shaped 2/3rd's up its side which later turned off. Above the object there was a shimmering kind of effect. The object had what looked like thin appendages beneath it; however they too were not visible as it came closer to me. This object was clear looking almost like it was made of a mirror substance. There was a reddish narrow strip along its center it appeared to go round the circumference of the object. This object began moving towards me never gaining or losing altitude as it came by. One of the most dramatic aspects of its presence was that it made no sound what so ever as it went by. I would say its movement was not that it flew by (as the very act of flying to me denotes propulsion), it levitated by, making no sound and demonstrating what I would say was defying the laws of nature, it seemed almost one with the air a part of it not against it as would any object that was levitated. In any case, I've never seen anything do what it did as it 'levitated" by. What was also interesting was that the object was in a way sensing as it moved across the sky, it appeared to me that it felt its way, not pushed its way. It seemed aware of its condition almost cautious as it moved in a steady straight direction; it had presence I would say. At the point I realized I would lose sight of it to the height of my 2 story house, I ran into the house and up the stairs yelling at my wife to come out side quickly. As I got out the front door I pointed the object out to her she saw it as it vanished over the hill a mile or so beyond our home. I am to this day so glad she saw this object as if she hadent I would seriously be questioning my sanity the reason being is that it was dramatically not of this earth at least nothing like I have ever experienced, it was of another demension.

Description of Area / Surroundings Rural hoovering over a cattle ranch land (1400 acres) Full Description & Details The object was longer then it was wide cindrylical in shape possibly 15 to 20 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide (these dimensions are of course considering the elevation possibly 500 ft.) It was rounded at the top the shape was much like R2D2 of Star Wars except much larger of course. It had an oval shaped light or illumination at the upper end of the object possibly 2ft x 3ft in size. The object had a thin reddish stripe just below the light's bottom end which I’d say circled the object. As the object moved across the sky it was in a side lying position resembling a bullet as it moved across the sky. As I mentioned above there were some sort of thin appendages at the bottom end of the object when I first saw it in the sky which was in what I'd call an upright position when I first saw it. The body of the craft was a mirror like material not like stainless steel but clear like glass. It was very simple looking in a way, very smooth very beautiful to look at not at all harsh to the eye. Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object? No absolutely not..
