Full Description & Details

During an October storm in 2011 that rendered the region in darkness do to a blackout caused by downed power lines I was making my way through the darkness on the way home from work a short distance on foot about a five minute walk a light in the sky caught my attention brighter then the stars in the distance and moving toward winsted ct my first thought being interested in the ufo phenomenon I actually wanted to disregard it as a airplane or helicopter till it passed under a cloud that coverd the acuall stars in the distance it came to a stop and and remained motionless as well as soundless in the sky then suddenly shot off in the opposite direction toward Waterbury ct thought I told my girlfriend when I got home I remained quite about it until several days later when a co-worker told me of a significantly similar experience in winsted ct

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No up until it seemingly paused in mid air before completely changing direction Imy mind was racing trying to define it to no avail no man made object moves as this did Nore does space debris or other naturally accruing phenomenon change course knowing a object in motion stays in motion I can't explain it away as a Astroid or meteor

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I've read watched and looked into the the phenom in many aspects of the subject prior to and since my sighting always with a open mind I would have been just as inclined to debunk my own sighting if I found that what I seen could be explained by any conventional theory

Other Comments

Since theres been reports of a so called landing of an object in a lake near by and quite a few you tube postings of sighting in the region
