Appearance / Description of Object(s)

The object was about six feet tall, and a Tripod, similar to what the cover of The War of The Worlds looks like, it was dull grey, but was very shiny, somehow.

The Tripod was about six feet tall, and the saucer that was on top was about 2 feet wide, I reckon.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

As it was a ground tripod, 0 feet above the ground.

Description of Area / Surroundings

It was my hay farm, a big open field with a road running by it. there is a barbed wire fence surrounding the field, but with gaps big enough for my dog.

Full Description & Details

It was about six in the morning when I left the farm to go milk the cows, where I stayed until about 0800 hours. I was walking to the hay bales in the middle of the field, because I needed to make sure they had not moldered in the night, after the long rain. My dog, Rosocoe, was first to sight the tripod, and she began barking. As soon as I saw the tripod, I did the best I could to hide in a small depression by the hay-bale. My dog however, she chased after the tripod. Ten minutes later, I went to investigate what happened. I found my dog lying perfectly asleep, but there was a liquid that quickly evaporated around her.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I know nothing of any man made tripod that can make a dog sleep.
