Full Description & Details
One summer night I went swimming in my pool with my brother and my boyfriend. We were just swimming and talking, then got into the topic about the universe. We started to look at the stars in the sky. This might even have been the night Jupiter and Venus were visible, so that's why we were looking too. We wanted to look at the planets. Then we ended up trying to see shooting stars. We thought we saw one, but then realized it was just an airplane since its lights were flickering and there is an airport nearby a few towns away. We kept looking and still no shooting stars. Then we finally saw a light that wasn't flickering and we got excited. I couldn't believe I was seeing my second shooting star. Until we realized that shooting stars move fast... That "star" was moving slowly. It was a little more faster than a plane, but looked distant. We watched it move until it disappeared in the night sky.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
It could have been a star or satellite... I don't really know.
I'm still in high school and I live a normal teenage life.
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I believed in them for a long time. I never thought they were this commonly reported until the past few months. I thought maybe it was time for me to report my sighting, so I did.
