Appearance / Description of Object(s)
The light was more oval than spherical, standing vertical. A solid orange color. The color of a typical fire, which is why I thought it was a plane entirely on fire at first. It did seem like there was mass behind the light. It was a very large light, which could have been made from multiple points on the overall object.
Size of Object(s)
Hand streched out, it would take about 2 fingers to cover the object when it was at it's closest.
Description of Area / Surroundings
It was over a rual area, near a hospital.
Full Description & Details
At first, the only thing I could think of was that it was a plane that was entirely engulfed in fire. There was nothing else in the sky along the lines of a plane or a helicopter. After getting out of the car to get a better look, there was surprisingly no noise at all from the object. It made slow movments that seemed like it was heading down to the ground, which is when it seemed about as close as less than a mile. Then, it made movements upwards, diagonally and I think horizontally. The size of the orange light was consistent the entire time. It seemed like it was moving slowly, and at times, faster. Like it could move any way it wanted to. It ended up going away into the sky after a while.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
I have never seen anything like this anywhere outside of a sci-fi movie.
Local townie, I guess.
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I've dabbled into all kinds of similar things. Always was curious.
Curiosity and fear were my feelings when I was watching whatever it was. I regret not having a smartphone or camera.
