If you have not heard already, the rover is on the blitz. It is only sending
out random noise and an occasional beep. What's going on out there?
Scientists are going to try and reboot the computers, but if it is a hardware
problem, then it is dead in the water, unless an Alien can change out the cards.
Why don't we send ALF up there to do the job? LOL!

Probably because it would cost another bazillion dollars, besides, the other rover
is scheduled to land on the other side of Mars on Saturday, I believe.

You remember ALF? The former weekly T.V. program where ALF lived with an earth family and he was allways getting in trouble for chasing the family cat...because he'd like to have the cat for dinner.
Ok...enough humor. I haven't heard the news tonight, but you remember they thought they has lost the Mars Rover in the beginning and finally had contact. It's probably just a glich and will work aot eventually.

Looks like the Rover is back in operation now.

Robert have you read in the general topics forum the statement by Amunaptra? Is she/he crazy or for real? Maybe they really can help!
Robert L. Sharp 3/24/2004 9:29:21 AM
I don't know for sure. I have been reading her postings, and I don't know what
to think of it. As far as being crazy, I wouldn't say that, but ?????
I don't think there are crazy people per se, maybe misguided perhaps.
This person and Alfie have an ongoing dialogue, so we can see where it leads.
