Since you are young and a student, I would say get a good education first if you plan to be a UFO researcher.
The reason is that you will need a good job to support yourself unless you already have money or other means of support. A lot of the UFO research is done with personal funding which can really add up with costs of transportation and time spent in the field interviewing people.

Many UFO researchers are part time not because they want to be part time but it is all they can afford to do.
In the mean time read all you can about the subject, but try to keep an open mind about UFOs. This is I think the most important part when it comes to UFOs.
