Hi Gjoc,
You know, I try to understand people, and what makes them tick, I really do,
but for the life of me, I just don't get it some times.
Case in point:
I just recently bought a midi synth and wanted to hook it up to my pc,
and keep in mind I am a trained professional in this regard, so it
should be an easy task. But when you try and do anything,
(I run windows 2000 server) it crahses and crashes.
When I installed the sound blaster card, it wouldn't detect it, then when it finally did,
Windows crashed and I see the blue screen of death. WHILE it si dumping the memory
to disk, it crashes. It actually crashed, while it was crashing.
I ran safe mode, and safe mode crashed. I finally had to reinstall the operating system
and it took about 7 hours before my system was back up and running.
But still my MIDI keyboard would not play through.
I searched and search MSoft and found no useful information and finally
after about 2 hours with google, what do I find, but at the bottom of a page
on MIDI tips, which states, that the midi cable is clearly marked at the ends
which attach to yur keyboard 'in' and 'out'
On the keyboard, is also clearly marked 'in' and 'out'
Now take the 'in' cable end, and connect it to the 'out' port of your MIDI keyboard.
Are these people insane? The ends are clearly marked and you must hook them up
backwards. Under normal circumstances you would expect this would blow something up.
Hooking up a satellite receiver. Same thing. I finally contact the technician, after
failing to ibe able to install it myself, and he tells me, "Oh", I know you won't find it anywhere, but you have to hook up the cables backwards.
I could go on and on, but I think you get my point that there IS something seriously
wrong, not just in America, but in the entire free world.
It puts things into perspective and makes you a little more understanding when
people cannot comprehend the evidence as depicted on this website for instance.
They are just not able to grasp anything so unusual or complex as that.
This civilization was interfered with, and it hadn't evolved enough to be where
it is. That is the purpose of the prime directive. To prevent this sort of thing
from happenning, which often leads to Armageddon.
