Size of Object(s): from the top of passenger side window - entire length of the window and then some - had to open window to see the whole thing. Actual size - umm...rough guess if I saw it up close - the size of 2 or 3 Oasis of the Seas cruise ships, maybe bigger?
Distance to Object(s): Several Kilometers away from where I was Height from the ground - 1000 feet give or take. (at most)

Appearance / Description of Object(s)
Rectangular with a rounded top almost like an extremely large bullet with a flat bottom (if layed on it's side), Extremely large. From the angle it looked like part of it was or had been damaged like not really holes but steel jetting out all over the place with lights all along it. Lights on the front were very bright like flood lights, lights on the side were an off white and not as bright. It was silent, not a single sound could be heard from it. It managed to just vanish completely in a matter of seconds.It was able to stop in mid air and just stay there for a few minutes before disappearing.

Description of Area / Surroundings
More of a Rural and sort of Urban area. Lots of forest off in the direction the UFO was, area of town houses behind us, a Gas station and a coffee shop ("tim hortons") and a small store ("giant tiger"). If you go a few kilometers south on bank street it would take you to another gas station and a foot ball field that is not used in the winter for anything.

Full Description & Details
After work on Thursday Nov 13th, my best friend / boss at the warehouse I work at were dropping off a friend who lived around bank and queensdale. After we dropped him off we headed up towards bank as we lived just off bank street quite a ways down.

As we approached bank street I was just sort of watching the planes come in and leave. As we got to the lights at bank street I pointed out something that didn’t seem right in the sky to my friend. I was very large (much larger than our commercial jets or most military planes I’ve ever seen (I grew up on military bases for 17 years of my life)) and also had lights out the front and sides. Although the lights were not as bright on the sides as they were in the front. The lights on the sides were kind of an off white colour and the ones in the front were bright, like flood lights almost.

It was sort of rectangular in shape. It sort of came to a complete stop over a field or forest (several kilometers away I would assume). It just stopped in the air and waited for a couple of minutes. I was watching it and as the light turned green for us to carry on I kept looking at it and opened my window as well to see it from behind us. No noise from it at all came from it, none that either my friend or I could hear. I turned back in my seat to tell my friend that it was huge and silent and that took maybe 10 seconds and as I looked back to the location, it was nowhere to be seen, not even the lights that I saw were there anymore.

We both kind of looked at each other in disbelief. We were basically thinking and saying that there is no way we just saw a UFO. But we definitely knew it was.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
No, definitely nothing conventional or man-made could do what this thing did. and It was way to close to the earth's surface for it to be a planet or star. Also, there are no blimps that come through Ottawa ever and my friend and I would have heard something if it was a blimp as I've seen them and heard them before. Way too big to be a balloon, or, a blimp.

I have completed high school and College. I have a diploma in Computer Systems Technician. I have worked in the IT field as a call centre agent. I also currently work as a cook in an irish pub and as a receiver in a warehouse.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I believe they exist. I also don't think they ALL look like flying saucers like everyone seems to think they do. I have read up on them in the past, always been fascinated by them and the idea of them. I have always wanted to see one and when I did it was almost disbelief. I think they are incredible pieces of machinery. I am even more fascinated by them ever since my sighting.

Other Comments
Largest thing I have ever seen in the sky was this UFO. I lived near an airport for about 8 years. Nothing I've seen coming or going from the airport could even compare to the size of this flying object.
