Triangular shape, with a very bright light on one vertex, blue and red lights on the other vertices, and a third light (blue and red alternating) between the other two blue/red lights or possibly in the center of the craft.

At approximately 9:30 PM as my family and I were driving northbound on interstate 40 near Maumelle, AR, we saw what we initially thought to be an airplane. On close inspection, it became clear that the object was not behaving like a commercial aircraft. Rather, it was zig-zagging slowly over the interstate. It appeared to be perhaps 1000ft about the ground and was triangular in shape. The front vertex of the triangle (i.e. the triangle facing the direction that the craft was travelling) had a very bright, pure white light. This light was much brighter than the sort typically seen on airplane and helicopters. The other two vertices contained blue lights that pulsed very rapidly. There was another red light that was either between the two blue lights or possibly in the center of the craft.
My wife, I and our 11 year old son all saw this.
Can sighting
be explained as any conventional man-made or natural
object?
It was unlike any man made aircraft I've ever seen. It could have conceivably been a military aircraft of a type that I am not familiar with.

I am an open minded skeptic. I do not necessarily believe that UFOs are of extra-terrestrial origin.
