Elliptical, white light. No detail seen as it was in the distance
Description of Area / Surroundings
Urban where we were stood, but rural where the UFO was spotted. No possible light pollution that could be mistaken

I was waiting with a couple of friends for a taxi after we had been to a party. Standing at the door of the pub, I started to look around. In the distance just above the hills, I saw an elliptical light. It moved to the left and then to the right, then back again. I turned to my friend and pointed it out to her. Shortly after, the light vanished with no trace left. I looked left and right and the light had completely disappeared.
Can sighting
be explained as any conventional man-made or natural
object?
To just vanish like it did, I feel there is no explanation for it
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
Before the UFO sighting, I believed in them. I thought I had seen somethings a couple of times before, but I could dismiss them as other things. After I believe even more, but always keep a careful mind and think about what I have seen
