at 2330 watched one light (red, green, amber, white) south over white river forest, between Avon and Aspen. Light moved short distances back and forth, then recided into the sky, returned within 10 seconds with 2 others and formed a triangle formation, with all three making short movements and stopping. What seemed to be thin beams of light would drop down from the closest and first light. Activity continued for approx. 25 minutes until a fast moving object with red light (plane?) came across from the north, and lights receeded into the sky. Red light continued over white river forest into area of first lights until out of sight.

I believe in extraterrestrial life, but uneducated on the finer points of the subject.
