Appearance / Description of Object(s)
As far as the appearance of the object i could not identify it's shape or size. however, it did resemble the appearance of a shooting star excecpt for the fact that it was a bright orange color. The object also had an usual tail of light trailing from behind.

Description of Area / Surroundings
My girlfriend and i were watching the sunset at a secluded beach known as Paipailoa. At that particular beach there is not much except for a few beach front homes located down the beach from where we were at. Other than that, it was just us the sand and water.

Full Description & Details
A little after 9:00 pm, my girl friend and i witnessed a bright light moving across the north eastern part of the hawaiian skies. At first it looked much like a shooting star in the way it appeared out of nowhere, moving from one point to another, and then quickly disappearing. I was amazed by the color of the star; it had a bright orange glow and long tail trailing behind it's path. A spilt second late the star reappeared, shoot straight up from where i had last seen it and quickly made a turn to the left where it then dissappeared for a second time. By now i was in disbelief because i have never in my life witnessed such a phenomenon. I was totally lost for words when all of a sudden the star reappeared for a third and final time and shot clearly across the sky, from the northen end of sunset point and out towards Ka'ena point located in the west. Was it a ufo? I really have not the slightest clue, however i have lived my whole life here on the north shore of oahu and have never seen anything like this before.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
I honestly feel that no man made object could produce the phenomena we saw that night. what ever it was had been traveling at a tremdous speed. As far as it being any natural object, i would like to think that what i saw was a star or planet. However, i've seen many shooting stars before but nothing like this.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
Prior to this experience i have never been a believer of the supernatural, ufo's, etc. I still have a hard time believing that their might be the possibility of something else out there, however, i can say that what i saw has changed my life.
