Appearance / Description of Object(s)
About as big as two football fields, round in shape, appeared to be a silver metallic color with strobe lights as above. Learned years later that this was probably a mother ship

Full Description & Details
Huge, round ship with strobe lights in red, white, green around the edge. Small probes came out from the bottom after the object had been stopped for about an hour; they would stop right below the big ship then shoot off in different directions. This activity continued from about 8:30 PM until after 4 in the morning. Went to sleep watching it, but it was gone the next day. Did not see it leave.
Can sighting
be explained as any conventional man-made or natural
object?
No because it was too close and it could be seen too clearly to be a moon, bird, clouds or stars and couldn't be identified as a plane. It stopped still and stayed that way; have we got anything that would do that?

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
Have had other sightings since then; never even thought about them at all until I saw it with my own eyes; try to keep an open mind; they might be from under the ocean for all I know
