My spouse and I were sitting on our deck in the back yard when we noticed a flashing white behind us. The light appeared to be bouncing between our neighbor's house and garage. The light stopped for a few seconds and then started up again. My spouse stood up to find the source and spotted a strange object in the sky.travelling from the north, parralell to our front street. The object was triangular in shape, with a green, yellow and red light at each corner.
The object continued in a southerly direction in what appeard to be a steady height. At one point the object seemed to turn on its axis so that the red light was the dominant color seen; the other two lights were visible behind the red light. The red light continued to flash for a few more seconds, it then became more intermittent, until it dissapeared.
When I told my son about this, he advised me that he and his friend had spotted one earlier in the evening, while it was still daylight They were driving down Merriam towards Riverside Dr and spotted an object hovering over our house (or close to it). The object was at a relatively high altitude,. Because of this he thought it could be a plane, but it only had one yellow flashing light. As well, the object did not 'fly away,' but simply disapeared.
