Full Description & Details
The area we were driving in was very heavy with trees and without any houses or lighting. There was about 2 feet of snow on the ground. The trees had lost all their leaves so the object glowing like it was and reflecting off the snow made it realy stand out. We picked it up maybe a mile away or so and it seemed huge at the time. But when it crossed in front of the car it was about 3 feet in dia. and very bright. The reflection off the snow distorted it's size from a distance. Then we watched it go out of sight to our left. And pardon my english, but the next thing out of my mouth was " what the h--l was that". And my friend said, beats me. Using a little math I figured it was going a minimum of 100 mph to 300 mph or more. The main reason I writting you. Is maybe you can give me an answer to something that has puzzled me all these years. How did the Orb fly through a thick forest in a straight line without hitting a tree at high speed in a straight line.

6 years Auto mechanic, 40 plus years in Machine shops, Machine bulding, Machine wiring, Machinist. Retired 2 years ago with Senior Tool Maker title. (So I know how things work)
Other Comments
I saw a UFO in the spring of 66 or 67. It was bright red like steel in a blacksmiths coals and it went into a cloud and made a lot of steam. I didn't know it at the time. It landed about 12 miles away and my rider saw it and a local High School Teacher had it hovering over his head. Made the front page in the local paper. They figured 18 million people saw them. There were two of them. First seen near DC, another landed in New york state. It was all whitewashed. The conclusion were they were comets.
