Appearance / Description of Object(s)
The one that was close enough to see appeared to be boomarang shaped only more width instead of length. It had a rounded nose and two dim orange lights on what would be the wingtips of a triangular shaped craft such as a B-2. Metallic underbelly that appeared to be reflective. It appeared to glide very quickly across the sky and disappear almost as if it were ghost like. The third spotted light was bright white and streaked across the sky like a shooting star, but it stopped abruptly overhead and behaved eratically (almost like you would imagine a sparkler being waved by a young child would look like with circles back and forth zig-zag etc) and then shot off the same direction it was traveling. The fourth spotted light streaked across the sky from north to south and paused with a reddish hue and behaved much the same as the first spotted light before losing sight of it.
Size of Object(s)
The one that was close was around two to three inches if I held my fingers out. Larger than a B-2 with no nose illumination only lights on "wingtips."
Description of Area / Surroundings
We live on the outskirts of a small town, there is one very small airport to the south east. There is one streetlight that had to be blocked by hand to observe the more obscure first and fourth crafts.
Full Description & Details
5/24/2012: Overcast night, stars only slightly visible.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
Not at all. Multiple direction changes and pauses along with very rapid travel and very different identifying features.
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I have always liked to lay out under the stars and try to see if I could spot a UFO, but I am 31 and I have never seen anything remotely close to what I witnessed last night. I do watch UFO stuff occasionally on tv, but only when nothing else is on. I am usually mostly skeptical, but open-minded when I watch or hear stories, but this was not an average sighting from what I understand, and I've never heard of anything like it.
