Appearance / Description of Object(s)
Bright star, 90' turns, impossible, acceleration as we know it.
Size of Object(s)
Couldn't see physical object. Just one white light, with fight vision, was not a defect of goggles, acceleration was amazing,
Description of Area / Surroundings
Rural mostly, very dark. A few street lights to my east. But I was past them looking up and the Venice was moving in a basically south to north direction. I saw it at first from maybe a 50' angle, was traveling north to south, came over me to about 110 to 115' then made the two turns.
Full Description & Details
I was taking my dog out for her last walk, it was a clear night, no moon, no clouds, as always I took my night vision goggles with me to look at the stars, maybe see a satellite or two. I saw what I thought was just another satellite on an about 190' heading,at around 50' up from the horizon. It was hauling as satellites do, then as it was passing 85' to 115, started to slow down!!! It then stopped! For maybe a second, made a left hand or west turn, traveled for a second, second and a half, then made another left hand turn, WHILE MOVING!! Then headed back on about 180' reverse azimuth heading, maybe 10' magnetic north. It started to accelerate, then at about 75' it HAULED ASS!! It was gone in a blink of an eye. It was like seeing a streak of light in the sky, it moved so fast that the single point of light looked like a line of light. I have been out almost every night hoping to see the same thing. I have tried to marry up my video recorder to the PBS 7 delta night vision goggles, but it's a bit tricky. Looking around for a true attachment. There was no moon, it wasn't a plane, if so 90' turns are now possible, I can still see vapor trails, and wings most nights. And unless the military has planes that can go from stop to thousands of miles per hour, in a blink. I don't know what to think then.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
At first I thought I was looking at another satellite, I have seen thousands in the 20+ years I have been looking through night vision goggles. A satellite does not slow down, make 2 90' turns and accelerate sooooo fast like I have never seen something move. My in the movies have I seen that kind of speed.
I have a BA in Anthropology, a minor in forensic science, was in the US Army, served as a Scout, 19 delta, i reported to higher ups about enemy strenght, their weapos, how many people, so on, served in Iraq. I have seen thousands of satellites and the space station and probably boosters from rockets. I am a skydiver with over 1400 jumps, been in many different aircraft, military and civilian, have flown before, 23.5 hours behind the stick. I am a current weapons and tactics instructor for a Military training facility in Arkansas, just outside of Memphis, Tenn.
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I have an open mind, no way are we the only planet with life in the galaxy/universe. A race that is 50,000 years ahead of us, 1 million, 10 million years, will probably have the technology to get here. I know that after seeing what I saw, how it moved, speed wise, making that 90' turn while moving, either it was under intelligent control or a probe or recon vehile under computer control. Nothing we have in the military can accelerate that fast.
Have been trying to find a connector for my night vision goggles to click onto a video camera, if the sky is clear, i am out there'd at night looking to see this again. I know what I saw, I don't drink, don't do drugs, I was not tired, did not imagine this. Didn't see a solid object, just sun light bouncing off whatever was traveling sooooo fast making those 2 turns, then accelerating to probably thousands of mph. In the blink of an eye it was gone. It looked like it was a straight line, white in color. ILM international airport is about 15 miles.or less away, Not a plane on final, this thing was way up there, not birds, not bugs.
