it looked like a small round circle and was very bright white. it also moved at a high rate of speed.

if i held out my thumb i could cover the object with the tip of it "the whole nail section"

Description of Area / Surroundings

this is a rural area and its in a valley. we have some small hills on one side and then mountains on the other. this sighting happened on the hill side. no military base or power plant around for miles and miles.

We were star gazing and i caught a bright light out of the corner of my eye. i began tracking the object and told my friend "hey look a satellite." we both agreed on what it was. earlier in the night we had found the big dipper and all seven stars were in place. during the time we tracked the object it moved into the big dipper. as it was moving into the big dipper formation i noticed one of the stars was missing. this star is in the middle of the handle and is referred to as the "pace setting" star by some. the object then stopped where the missing star was and started moving in a triangular pattern as if it was trying to position itself exactly where the missing star should have been. I haven't seen it move since.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

NO by no means can it be explained by any of the above. Ive never seen an object that looks like a satellite and moves like one that can stop on a dime and then move in a triangular pattern in a constellation that was missing a star.
