I seen a single bright white flashing light, moving slowely across the sky just above the tree line about 1 - 2 miles away it looked like it was flying over shirebrook towards mansfield. It had no other lights and i couldn't see a shape to this flashing light. The time was 4:45 am, It was as bright as a spot light and moved very slowely and did not act like any aircraft we have, military or civilian. It moved across the sky for about 5 seconds, then just dissapeared in thin air. It was a clear night, there were no clouds and no stars in its flight path. There was no sound and appeared out of no where, it wasen't a flare as there is no military base near my area, it wasen't a plane because planes dont just dissapear, and it wasen't a helicopter because they have flashing lights and they dont turn their lights off in the dark because of other aircraft. This craft was under inteligent control and was not a star or a meteor. It was flying to slow to be a star or a meteor, my neighbours seen the same thing at the same time. Im confused of what this object can be so im asking the brittish and U.S government to please give me a valid explination of what i seen thanks.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No this was nothing man made, we dont have anything that just dissapears and dosen't have any other lights

I have learned most of military and civilian aircraft and have made it a hobbie. Im well aware of what our military aircraft can achieve, and this craft was beyond our manovers
