I was standing on my back porch looking into the sky as I do most evenings and noticed many air planes flying overhead. It must have been around 7:30 - 8:00 pm on 3 Oct 2012 when I looked toward the south and A large red Orb Flashed on and faded out slowly. It first flashed to the left of a light pole beside my home then the red light flashed to the right of the light pole and one last time back to the left of the light pole. I have been in the military around aircraft but this was not any aircraft I have ever seen. The whole event may have lasted 20 seconds and the Light pole being a stationary point for me to believe that an aircraft could not move to three locations such as this Red object had done.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
