small in size extremely bright white almost blue white.
Size of Object(s)
approx quarter of an inch. Difficult to estimate its true size.

If 90 degrees was directly above me i would estimate that it was about 30 to 35 degrees in the sky.
Description of Area / Surroundings
I was crossing an open field in the West Derby suburb of Liverpool. It is the edge of urban Liverpool and the object appeared over a rural area. The nearest military base is the old WW2 airfield at Burtonwood .
Full Description & Details
the light appeared low in the night sky and was initially dim. It was small and round, over the next 3 to 5 seconds the light grew in intensity spreading into thin lines either side of the main light. The light slowly dimmed from bright intense white to yellow and vanished. It was positioned approx north east in the sky which was cloudless and clear, visibility was good. The approx time was 3.30 a.m. it appeared stationary and the light was so bright it looked very much like an explosion in space. No sound accompanied the light. I have never seen anything this bright in the night sky.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
I do not know. The light was so bright it left an after image when I closed my eyes
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
Ive read stories and reports on UFO's in magazines, books and newspapers. Its an interesting subject however with the high amount of air traffic and natural phenomena that can explain many sightings im afraid the jury is still out.
