Appearance / Description of Object(s)
Too far from me to catch any detail but the lights were a bright dullish yellow. As far as they were from me, they appeared to be perfectly round, but again, they were too high up in the atmosphere to tell.
Size of Object(s)
As far away as they were from me, I would gather that they would have all been larger than any of our largest planes for me to see them.
Description of Area / Surroundings
City, city lights. There is a naval base on Coronado island which was approximately 2-3 miles away from where I observed all this.
Full Description & Details
One night, I was sitting outside with my girlfriend sitting in my lap looking up at the sky. After a little while, I noticed a light very far away had appeared in my line of vision and caught my attention as it was moving from right to left. It was way too high for normal planes and such, and the fact that I was in San Diego, and with all the city lights, the light stood out brightly. After the light appeared, within a few moments, I seen 3 other lights pop up and they took on a triangular pattern, which started to make me think that I was actually just seeing an aircraft, but the thing that stood out to me was how slow they were moving, as if they were helicopters, and the lack of noise. Helicopters cannot fly that high. I watched the lights come to a stop and to my amazement, they began to rearrange themselves. Then suddenly, another 2-3 (I don't remember the exact number) lights moved in around the initial 3. Then they all started moving around, rearranging themselves in different formations (I cannot say patterns because after the initial triangle, they did not create patterns or fly in circular motions, etc. They seemed to work as if in a blob if you can imagine that?) Then at that point, I definitely knew that these were not any sort of aircraft because we do not have any sort of flyers that could do that. Helicopters maybe, but at the rate of speed they were shifting around and how high they were, it makes that extremely doubtful and not to mention the lack of noise. After watching them for a few minutes shifting around, they began moving to the left. Then as they appeared, they started dimming out from right to left, the ones on the right side dimmed until you could not see them, all the way until the lead one dimmed out from sight. I have never experienced anything like this in my life, and from that day forward, I know that there are other things/beings out there beyond ourselves. I can't even say it was ball lightning because there were zero clouds. My mind tried to analyze and attach it to some earth bound explanation, but I could not.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
No, not at all. Their movements were too unpredictable, yet the lights never touched one another or crossed over one another.
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I believed that there should be other life out there in the universe, but after this observation, it only strengthens my belief.
