Full Description & Details
I am 54 years old and never been one to 'see strange things'.. I say this because I know some people who are always seeing ufo's, black panthers, ghosts, etc. I am not one of those kind of people. This the first time I have reported this to anyone. I saw it when I was about 41 years old. The sky was perfectly clear and there was no wind at ground level as I remember. I was working in the yard when for some reason I looked up at a sweet gum tree. That's when I saw what appeared to be a translucent bubble traveling steady as it went due north. I suppose it could have had a chrome or mirror finish instead , as that might also appear translucent against the sky at that altitude and angle. When first spotted, it was at about 10 degrees from the vertical from my perspective. I observed it for only about 15-20 seconds before it just seemed to fade into the sky. I don't mean that it disappeared suddenly like magic; I think I just lost it as it blended in with the blue of the sky.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
No way. I have far more scientific knowledge than the average person. I am extremely well read and am very level headed. I don't know what I saw, but it was exactly as I described it soit should be as plain as a picture to anyone just takes it as I describe. Buy a bottle of bubble blowing solution the the toy department and blow a bubble. Disregard any oscillations the bubble might have and there you have it. Exactly like that.
I have a high school education with very little college. I am a world class under achiever. I have worked at physical labor in the construction field most my life. All this in spite of an I.Q. consistently rated above 145. No, this is not bragging as this report is anonimously submitted. I have a love of science and have read extensivley about physics and astronomics.
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I really do not have much of an opinion on the subject although I am keenly interested in the subject and I have read a lot on the subject. Do they exist? Sure, that much should be obvious. But, that does not make it any more than something that the observer can't identify. If someone in the deepest jungles of New Guinea were to see the Voyager II or a purple dragon they would be equally unable to identify either one.
