Appearance / Description of Object(s)
I would say it looked round, very shiny and bright, it was reflecting the sun. Could have been silver or grey.
Size of Object(s)
Relative I could hide it with a fingernail, actual, up against a airplane on the ground I would say it was as big as a transit van maybe!
Description of Area / Surroundings
Suburban, on the edge of countryside, but it was so high up it would have covered a lot of the West Country. It would have flown over Bristol airport airspace. There are power plants in the West Country.
Full Description & Details
It was a clear blue sky , no clouds and sunny. I was collecting my young son from play group so I know it must have been a Tuesday or Thursday. I was looking forward to our first holiday abroad for a few years, so every time I heard a plane I would look up and think not long now. As I looked up at the plane there was something behind it, the sun was reflecting off it, so I presumed it was metal, it looked like a shiny silver ball. As I was wondering what it was, it moved from side to side behind the plane, then moved down partway alongside the plane. It didn't go all the way to the front, but I would have thought passengers would have seen it out their windows.
Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
No. I have always been observant. I have seen lots of things that I have realised were weather balloons, strobe lights etc. I have seen one other UFO, before this one, just three lights in a triangle shape shining down to the ground, about the height of two houses, thought it was a lamppost of sorts, but there was nothing there the next day.
Part time supermarket worker. Mother of two, grandmother of one.
Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
Because I've seen these things, I have to believe they exist. When I was 11 I saw a massive meteor fly over bristol with a bright tail that I could hear, so I'm always looking at the stars.
I would have been embarrassed to report these sittings at the time, neighbours would have thought I was mad. My husband is very much a non believer, because he hasn't seen for himself, but he knows I'm honest and would not make things up.
