Appearance / Description of Object(s)
It was like two "V" on of top of each other and rotated on its axis 45 degress or so, no lights absolutely silent, only lit by the city lights 3 storys below.

We live in the penthouse of a 4 story building, the sorrounding buildings are the same heigh, we had lights off and only the street lights were on. The sky was clear and no moon, stars were very visible, looking north.

I was staring at the stars tonight (1am) with my wife in our apartment's terrace when we both saw an object like this passing by our heads and great speed, it came from our building's top and lost sight on the top of the building at the other side of the street . It was silent and no lights were seen, it was yellow-grey, only lit by the city lights. It was not flying high and didnt look very big, maybe 20 meters wingspan at 200m height. The sight lasted for 3-4 seconds.
It followed a very straight path (north to south-east) until we lost it on a neighbour 5 story builduing on our back (we were sitting, almost horizontal on one of this low long chairs). The two "V" were bended on its axis. We both cannot explain what we saw by any human made object. Our first impression was that it could have been a delta wing but it was impossible that was flying at that high speed and at night.
We avoided to say "UFO" until no other explanation was found because we donīt feel confortable about the idea, one of my greatest fears as a child was the vinyl my father had of the OST of "war of the worlds", so I would prefer to think about any other idea than I had an UFO flying over my head tonight.

no, it was too fast and emitted no sound at all, no lights at night and followed a perfectly straight path

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting
I love astronomy and follow every space exploration mission, I am an electronics engineer and love all the science and engineering behind them. But I donīt feel confortable about the idea of UFOs, I have this "war of the worlds" idea of extraterrestial visitors. I cannot deny that the possibilities of alien life are bigger that the idea of us being the only beings of this universe, but I am not willing to contact them or be witness of such contact, just for the risk of being in the hands of beings from another world.
