Appearance / Description of Object(s)
They looked like faint still stars at first. They could've easily passed off as stars, but being that I looked at the night sky all the time, I noticed they seemed out of place, I've never noticed them before. Then they slowly moved closer together and in a straight line kind of like this ...... They became brighter, slightly brighter than how the planet Mars looks in the night sky. Then they faded slightly and completely disappeared.

Bakersfield City area. There is a stretch of oil fields located in the direction that the lights were seen.

It was sometime between 9:00pm and 9:30pm when my boyfriend and I were standing in my driveway looking at the stars. We were just taking in the moment when in the NorthEast sky there were approximately 5 or six lights that looked likes stars at first. They were in the shape of a W and very still for about 20 seconds, then my boyfriend and I noticed they were moving. They moved closer together and into a straight line and then they became brighter, possibly closer to us, right before they faded and disappeared. This happened over a duration from anywhere between 30 seconds to maybe a minute.

be explained as any conventional man-made or natural
object?
No, my boyfriend and I went through numerous possibilities, such as planes, jets, etc. And none fit the lights we saw that night.

Before, I knew there were strange things in and around this Universe. Now, I'm a full believer of UFO's.
