I had a close encounter with whatever it was maybe a UFO. On a trip back from Wva to Florida, I was returning from seeing my mom in the hospital in WVa., it was late at night probably around 11pm while driving back through Alabama/Tennessee going south on the interstate highway I-65. What occurred was that an extremely bright light that reminded me of a locomotive train light appeared just behind me about 50yds quite suddenly and it followed me at the same pace I was driving around 60 mph, its movement was so strange because it didn’t fluxuate with the contour of the road and I took notice there was no sound as if a helicopter. I wanted to alert my wife who was sleeping beside me in the car but I felt controlled as if in a trance or some hypnotic mind control so I kept my head straight ahead or forced, whatever, I even tried to take my foot off of the accelerator, tried to wake my wife but the only thing I could do was use my eyes to look in the forward direction and glance as well at the rear view mirror from time to time or maybe most of the time to keep track of its movements or was this what I was supposed to do, who knows, last of all I also noticed my palms were sweaty on the steering wheel but I couldn’t take them off to wipe them. It seemed like for hours this occurrence was happening or maybe time was standing still or whatever I don’t really know. I took notice as well, there were no cars in either direction the total time this was occurring, nothing seemed to be happening until this thing was gone and how did it go away well, Poof the light was gone is the only explanation I can come up with. When I was able to make movements with my body the first thing I did was move my head then wipe my hands off then I stopped the car on the side of the road got out and looked all around including the night sky, this caused my wife to wake and you can only imagine what she thought and said when I told her of this occurrence, finally I noticed life and back to the now time zone cars drove past in both directions, so tell me did my time stop or what, now doesn’t this event seem strange to you but anyway the years have passed and from time to time I try to take myself back to those memories and ask myself, why me. I have never felt comfortable talking about this subject, even to this day, but it seems like a lot of people are coming forward so why not me. I have had many reoccurring dreams which started from my early teens of flying in some sort of craft and I remember always looking down at the terrain and cities as we were moving and I distinctly remember being asked if I wanted my family to go and I always said no only because either I feared for their safety or maybe I knew it was not my choice to make or maybe I thought I was never going to return again, who knows Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object? Appearance / Description of Object(s) It stuck out in the sky because it was very very dark black in color. It resembled a diamond almost, but was more iregular and had curvy edges. There were no lights and no sounds. Size of Object(s) If i held my arms out in front of me, my pointer fingers would be about 15 inches apart to represent how it looked in the sky. In actual size, all i could estimate is that it was big. Description of Area / Surroundings small town, 50-60 foot treet about 90 feet north of me Full Description & Details It was about 1AM and I was outside with some friends sitting in a circle just talking when I took a moment to look up at the stars because it was a very clear night. After looking up for about 12 seconds, a large black figure went across the sky and I had just enough time to smack my friend and point and he saw it just as it disapeared over the trees. The UFO was black in color and was darker then the sky. It also appeared to be flying just barely over the tops of the trees, which are probobly about 60 feet tall. I felt no wind and heard no sounds. After the UFO had disapeared from my view, my adreneline was going and my blood was pumping as hard as it does after running a 100 meter dash. I cant think of an animal that big or an airplane that big that can fly that close to the ground and make NO sound. Appearance / Description of Object(s) round in shape, appeared rather small, but it appeared extremely high in the sky. The color was white. Size of Object(s) with my arms straight in front of me, pointer fingers would be about a centemeter apart. I would have no idea on actual size because it was VERY high in the sky. It looked the same size as a star. Distance to Object(s) & Altitude Very high. Description of Area / Surroundings Small town with a population of about 2,000 people. There were tall trees about 30 yards from me in the direction of the UFO. Full Description & Details It was about 11:15 at night and me and a friend were sitting outside talking when I saw a bright light in the sky that was moving at a rather fast speed. I stood up and pointed to it and my friend verified that I wasnt just seeing things. We watched it fly throught he sky for about 15 seconds. This light was not moving in a stright line, but instead a somewhat "squigly" fashion, untill it flew out of view. The next night, me and my friend stayed outside again to see if we would spot it again. At roughly 11:15 or 11:20, the VERY SAME thing occured, but rather then disapearing out of view due to tree cover like the night before, it did the same squigly patern then it shot off at an extremely high velocity. It was so fast that it appeared to move slightly to the right and disapear. They were both times spotted in the north part of the sky heading east. It was not a planet either and there is no way it was a cloud or any sort of airplane I have ever seen or heard of. Witness Background I am in High School. Appearance / Description of Object(s) shiny metallic more like a silvery color flattened disc. slightly tilted towards our position. it gave the appearance of a waning moon turned lateral. Size of Object(s) in relative size i would have to say from where i was about 21/2 inches or the length of a lighter across. in actual size i don't know. if i had to guess i would say 40-50 feet across and maybe 10 or more feet high. Distance to Object(s) & Altitude the distance was about 300 yards. the object was about a 1/4 mile high or less. Description of Area / Surroundings A public recreation complex, in well populated neighborhood. There is mountains on one side with an airport on the other side of the mountains. Full Description & Details In early or mid August, my wife and I took our two sons and daughter to her cheerleading practice. While we there I was throwing the football around with my oldest son, when my wife said "Randy what's that"? I looked S and saw a shiny metallic or silver object almost directly above the field moving NE, at an estimated speed of 5-10 miles per hour. I mean this thing was literally crawling through the sky. We stood and watched the object as it continued to move NE until it was out of sight. When we first saw it my mother-in-law remarked "it looks like a hang glider", to me it was obvious that it was not. First there is no place to hang glide from close to there to gain that altitude, and even more importantly you would have been able to see the operator from our angle. Theres an airport on the Wva side of the river but a plane would have come directly over us. This did not, it clearly came from the SW. This object was moving so slowly that had it been a plane it would have fell out of the sky. Moreover it made no noise, nada, nothing, no smoke trail no lights. It kept the same altitude and heading until it was no longer visible. Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object? To me, no. I've lived here my whole life and I have seen every type of airplane that comes through here and to that airport, but I have never and I mean NEVER seen anything like that.
