like a jelly fish or some of the round night lights on the road with a dark yellow glow around them witch gave them brightness about a foot in diameter from the distance i was at moving in round formation very slow

Three yellow white lights, triangle formation. silent at low alt., with radiated glow. saw it go across the sky thinking it was a meteor. then noticed the triangle formation moving slowly and steadily moving towards the cloumbia river. then it vanished mid sky.

Bright light not moving in the sky. It had a pulsing light coming out from it in waves. The car in front of me and I pulled over to watch it still in the air. It was one big light and coming out from it were pulses of lights. like this... O) ) )

Definately orangey-red in colour. Size I couldn't even guess nor the shape except it definitely didn't look spherical. Sorry I can't be more precise. The brightness varied.. kept fading and brightening up again. At one point it became quite bright before fading again, that's when I saw some kind of non spherical shape.

I live right on the South coast of England. A little town called Seaton. Very small town, very very little light pollution and to my knowledge no military bases in the surrounding area nor power plants. No weather or research stations. Just a quiet little seaside fishing areas.

So I was having a smoke from my balcony and saw this. As I said. It was most definitely an Orange-Red colour, very bright and clear. I first noticed it just above Orion's belt and to the left. At first I thought it was simply something you could see at this time of year, a planet maybe or a bright star of note. I thought I was seeing things at first, but after watching for some time it was definitely moving. It's movement was erratic, there seemed to be no pattern as such except a vague circular motion as it traveled right towards Orion's belt. It stayed there for sometime, flitting up, down, left and right in no particular order. The whole time it was getting brighter as if moving closer or becoming more intense and then fading again until it disappeared. This is when I thought it was a chinese lantern. Just as I was about to head back in after finishing my smoke, it suddenly appeared again, this time lower down and back left of Orion's belt. It made the same vague circular movement before fading and appearing back above Orion's belt.

I ran to get my phone, but, unfortunately the video cam on it wasn't good enough to get any footage. I ran in, checked the internet. Several things are visible in our skies around this time of year but none of them correlate to what I was seeing and definitely nothing matching the movement. So I went back to the balcony to watch. It was still above Orion's belt, flitting about in all directions still. It didn't seem to stay in one place statically. It wasn't moving particular fast, but definitely enough to notice it was never static. While I was watching this second time it almost looked as if it was coming closer. For a brief couple of second whatever it was looked like it turned and I could clearly see some kind of shape. It wasn't just a spherical item, it definitely had shape. What shape exactly I can't be sure of.

I went back in to contact a couple of friends to see if they could see it as well. Unfortunately just as I'd sent the message our skies became overcast and clouds prevented me from seeing anything. This has happened literally within the hour. I was watching it for a good 20 minutes - half an hour before trying to see if anyone else could see it.

I can't be 100% sure obviously. But I have checked charts online and various websites. I can't find anything that could explain something of this colour, distance or location for this time of the year. It didn't resemble a meteorite or satellite in any way I've seen before and a Chinese lantern would of burnt out within the time I was watching.

Definitely a believer in anything unusual or things that can't be disproved but also I do like to try to work out a scientific or already known reason first. Somewhat try to disprove myself before I believe. Find the facts.

I have always been a believer in life other than ours. I believe in a lot of spiritual beliefs, energy based beliefs, the paranormal. Anything where there is no proof that it cannot exist, I believe however I haven't ever seen any UFO sightings to my knowledge before this encounter.

I did notice online that this month there have been other somewhat similar experiences from people around the Orion's belt constellation.

Round spherical revolving object, very big in size , red in color was seen to me and my family members . it was visible for 15 minutes in the sky. Time of sighting was 7.30 Pm and it was quite dark night. The object was very clear - It seems it was not metallic.

While I was driving in a car, I saw something strange, at first it was a rainbow with just a few colors that suddenly changed to a bright orange light, and behind the light had a transparent hovering face and head with hollow white eyes.Now at first I though I was seeing things ,but another person driving with me saw the same image too.

Relative: 18 inches across and 4 inches tall. Actual: Difficult to approximate without knowing how far it was. It appeared to be outside our atmosphere, therefore, it very well could have been a mile across.

I was in the backyard of my house in a small suburban neighborhood on the outskirts of New Jersey, just across from Staten Island, where the lights may very well have been directly over since it was in that direction I was basically facing. This particular area of NJ is known for its many oil refineries and chemical plants.

Being someone who recently stopped smoking, I quickly started to miss going outside and admiring the beauty of the outdoors, in particular at night, as I love to stare at the stars on clear nights. For some reason, smoking a cigarette always seems to be the perfect excuse to go outside, whether it's nice out, pouring, freezing, or snowing. About a month ago I began smoking again and as a result have been going outside more and just admiring the beauty of nature.

On this one particular night, Sunday, November 27, 2011, at around 12:35am, I went out to my backyard for a smoke and was mesmerized by the night sky, which happened to be a great night for stargazing. I'm no astronomy expert, but I believe it was Orion I was particularly focused on. The three stars that form the belt were what caught my attention initially. With just a few drags left in my Winston I expected to head back inside, but I was surprised to notice what I at first supposed to be a meteor speeding from just to the left of Orion's belt to the right in a very broad arch.

I've witnessed meteors on multiple occasions, though, and there would always be a trail of bright light that would scatter into what looked like sparks, and what I witnessed this particular night completely lacked these features. In addition, this was not just one light moving through space or the sky; rather, it was only one of many, about nine altogether.

These lights moved in unison as if they were all connected to one giant object so that their relative positions persisted. They became visible to me in the southeast and travelled towards the south, becoming dimmer as they moved farther from my vantage point. Streetlights and trees were also making it difficult for me to see them.

This was absolutely NOT a constellation of stars, planets, birds, or clouds. If this/these were man-made objects, it was definitely not something I've ever seen or heard of. The thought crossed my mind that what I saw may have been some new military aircraft, but it was moving unnaturally fast and coordinated as the spacing of the lights maintained their relative positions with unnatural consistency.

I have no idea what they are to this day. In the early 1990s I witnessed something even more bizarre which I never reported. I never read much on the topic or even felt drawn to it before my first sighting, though I tend to pay much more attention to the sky, especially at night.

On the plateau above the Snake River in the Magic Valley of southern Idaho. The area near the highway has a gradual upturning slope on left, flat on the right side.

Driving on Highway 30 about 20 minutes before sunrise, I noticed a white light on my left hand side. At the time, it was probably about 1/4 mile away on the left side of my vehicle. As I drove, I realized it was a ball of white light that was flying and not just a light from another source. The ball of white light passed in front of my vehicle about 75 feet away and at about 75 feet above ground level. The size of the ball of light was fairly small, it did not fill up the windshield of my dodge truck. I would say it was flying about the speed of a slow flying helicopter. There was no blinking lights, such as wing tip lights/collision lights or any other colored lights. The ball of white light kept flying away from my truck on the right side and I watched it for a short time until I was too far down the road to see the light.

I had recently retired from the U.S. Air Force at the time of the sighting. I was a C-130 Loadmaster for 16 years. I gained many flying hours working with close flying aircraft at all times of the day and night. I know how helicopters and fixed wing aircraft look and sound at the range I saw this flying object, and I know it was not a helicopter or fixed wing aircraft.

I believed in the possibility of alien aircraft, believed people were seeing things that cannot be explained in conventional terms and have had relatives see UFOs at a time in history when conventional airplanes were still relatively new.

Other Comments

My background in military aviation leads me to conclude that this was not anything that we overtly have in the US military.
