It was either 1968 or 1969 , July or August - our family vacation.We were swimming in the hotel pool. It became silent and still - no more traffic or background noises. I started to see coloured bands in the sky.Every few seconds a new ring of colour would wrap around the one that was already there.The ring got larger and larger until there was no more sky showing.Then the bands started coming off - one at a time from the outside working it's way to the centre. Each band was a different colour.It lasted a few minutes , but what really sticks in my mind is that eerie silence and the enormous expanse of the coloured rings.

I was young when I saw it, but I remember the instance very clearly.

My mother, brother, sister, and I were celebrating Christmas together at my aunt's house in Traverse City. My aunt also happens to be a state trooper, she was telling us about this UFO that had been sighted and hadn't left yet.

Since my parent's are divorced and we children lived with our father, we had to go home to Clare County that Christmas Eve night.

On the drive home, my mother spotted it. I believe we were near Kingsley. I was scared to death that we were going to pass right under it, but now I'm glad that I had a chance to see something so spectacular and strange in such detail. The underside had a white/blue triangle with red lights on each "corner" of the triangle. It's had to say how high up it might have been, I'm going to guess 300 feet or so. It was perfectly still.

Months later, my aunt brought large photos she took of the UFO during the day for the investigation to a baby shower-- how weird! The pictures were pretty clear. The UFO looked kind of like a thick saucer during the day. The pictures were black and white, so that's the most detail I can give about those.

It was one warm summer Friday around 10:00 PM in the evening in California's Santa Clarita Valley. I was brushing the swimming pool with a long pole and attached brush so that the kids could swim the following day. The pole requires you reach up to push down. I was standing on a high platform next to the pool about 4 feet over the rest of the pool area. As I reached to upper end of pole, I saw a craft approaching the house from the West and heading South East. It was about one block away.

I knew right away that it was not a helicopter or plane. It seemed flatter and wider and with lights in a circumference of the main frontal area. I ran towards the house and called my family to see it. Only my wife came out. By that time it was directly over our house and pool. It was approximately 75-100 feet above us. We stood along side of pool. It made no sound whatsoever, and it was at a complete stopped over us for about 40 seconds. The only motion was a slight wobble and when it moved downward at an angle. Duringthat time, we were frozen in disbelief. It is a strange sensation knowing that what you are seeing is not supposed and very foreign.

The craft was about 75-100 feet in diameter. It had small porthole and lights around it in the upper dome section, it was solid, metallic and shiny. There was a dome above it and attached to the body with no visible separation, as if it were molded as one solid craft.. The under section was concave towards the center and had two rectangular shapes along side each other and the length of the concave diameter. The rectangular shapes was about 7-10 feet in width and as along as the craft's concave underside center. I also noticed ski like devices on the front and on each side of the front leading edge window. What caught my attention was that the devices were not in the center or the center of gravity for the craft's design but very forward. The skis were S shaped with the top of the S facing forward. Upon the craft leaning in a downward motion we could see a window or cockpit like glass that was situated in the underside of the frontal leading edge. It was on the front lower edge of the round craft. The rectangular window was approximately 4 feet in height and possibly 12-15 feet in length. There was a glow of soft orange and blue lights from the inside but we could not see anyone or any controls.

It remained at a forward and downward angle for about 10 seconds. We both had the sensation of being watched. As it was angled, I noticed that light was reflecting from the upper section that was not facing the swimming pool lights. Thus, it seemed to generate light throughthe skin of the craft as the lights that first attracted me faced forward and were much lower than the upper section of the craft.

My wife and I did not say anything to each other during the experience but she kept saying "oh my God" over and over again. The craft then left slowly at 30-40 MPH. I jumped on a wall around our property to continue seeing for at least 7-miles. I instructed my wife not to discuss it, to draw what she saw and then we would compare drawings. They matched, although mine had more detail and accuracy.

My background include Group Propulsion Systems and later as an executive with several major computer companies. What we saw was close, real, solid, and a beautiful designed craft. I know from my aeronautical engineering background that mankind has no such technology

Single object with bright white glow and wide tail, traveling from south to north. Object appeared to explode then became 2 pieces that continued to travel across the sky in the same path at same rate of speed for several minutes. The second piece displayed a tail while the first did not. The second piece also eventually began to move slower than the first, but continued to travel in the same plane as the first. Both objects appeared to make a northwest turn, one behind the other until traveling out of view. The initial sighting of the object and "explosion" was near the flight path of planes from the RDU airport, but appeared to be at a higher altitude than aircraft.

It first began as a bright star moving across the sky. There was a white tail behind the light, similar to a comet, but wider. As the object moved across the sky, the object stopped and lit up the sky and exploded into an eliipitical shape with red, yellow, orange and white clouds. It looked simiilar to a firework explosion and an eye. Then it split apart like a super nova into two pieces and the pieces followed each other across the sky until they were no longer visible.

ive only just got the internet and looked up this subject so this is the first time ive told about my experience to anyone except family .i was asleep when i was woken up by my dog monty.a great big silly old german shepard.i am one of those people who go mad at getting woken up and him barking like a nutter to get let out into the garden ,or so i thought,made me angry.i ran down stairs swearing at the dog ,opened the back door and said go on get out you b...ard helping it with my foot.as it went out the back door i noticed all the patio was red.i had read in the paper a couple of days before that an unusual red moon would be out ,but i missed it.so my first thoughts was,brilliant,the red moons back.i stepped out onto the patio in bair feet and just my boxers and looked up .then i saw this red circle as ive described above.i was a bit scared but my excitement was more.i wanted to go back in and wake my wife and kids up but was afraid id miss it.when it had gone i rushed and woke my wife and told her .we rushed and got dressed and shot down the a127 in the car in the direction it had gone .but saw nothing more.i am not someone who would have even thought about u f os let alone belive in them.i am a londoner .a cockney from a big family who dosnt find it easy talking about somthing i always thought was anoraks or train spotters stuff.one thing i also remember was that while i waited downstairs for my wife to try to follow it ,3 cars sped past my house realy fast.i wonder if they were folowing it.

Lieing in bed and looking out my window, I noticed a large, bluish white object moving slowly in the night sky. I followed it with my eyes, trying to figure out what it was. Norton AFB was only a few miles south east and the object seemed to have been near that area. I was used to seeing airplanes, but this was definitely not the case. As an aviation fan, I could tell the difference between a plane, a helicopter, and this unusual object. It hovered and drifted from place to place without any apparent flight path. It was bright and pulsated slightly. It ws not reflecting any light; it was generating it.

Shortly, it was joined by two other objects of slightly smaller size. They appeared to start "shooting" smaller objects at it. The first used evasive action and attempted to speed away; the other two in pursuit. I watched this aerial "dog fight" for several minutes as they "danced" around the night sky. At last, they sped away together at high speed. I saw them again at much greater altitude, but as they climbed, they became more and more difficult to see. I related this sighting to my parents, but they remained sceptical of the event; much to my resentment.

Two nights later, I was watching out the same window hoping to see them again. To my surprise, the back yard lit up as if the sun was rising directly overhead. The neighbor's yard, however, was still quite dark (which didn't make sense at the time). I ran to the window and looked up to see a large, yellow-orange object moving silently and slowly over our house. As it came directly overhead, it was far too bright to look at. Looking down, I could clearly see details on the ground that I probably couldn't have seen in daylight. This is difficult to explain, but it was unforgetable. The object froze directly overhead for approximately 15 secs and then began to drift silently again in the same direction as before.

I ran from my room to convince my father to go outside and see it. He looked up and saw a bright light over the house, but presumed it to be a police helicopter spotlight. I told him there was no sound from it and if he hurried, he could see it drifting away for himself. Still sceptical, my father's police radio broke the silence by reporting multiple sightings being called in for an unidentified aerial object. His hobby was listening to the calls and several started coming across about the light in the sky. We stood there staring at each other for a moment and then ran out of the house into the front yard.

We stood there for several minutes watching a large, yellow-orange, eliptical mass drift slowly away. I will never forget that event. If I could recall the exact date, police records might still exist of the calls, but this was a long time ago. Now, 35 years later, I only remember the event and standing in my shorts in the street (but not the date).

I estimate the first objects to be at an altitude of a few hundred feet and the final object less than fifty feet from the ground. It was large and would have easily measured 30 feet in diameter. It was too close to look at directly when overhead due to it's brightness, but the color was an unmistakable yellow-orange. I've thought about this ever since and cannot say it's color was homogenous. It was like looking directly into a bright fire and trying to guess it's hue. There were shades of red, but orange and yellow stand out in my mind. I thought I would have been burned from the intensity, but cannot say that I was. I felt I would have been blinded if I tried to look at it much longer when it was directly overhead. I've never felt ill-intent from it, I was simply in it's path, but it did pause directly over me before drifting away. It's path was an arc and it turned south. I watched it from the street (D St) and noted it then slowly turned east before moving out of sight and disappearing. I never saw it again and can't say if it continued to fly away or simply went dark. It just passed through my life in a most unforgetable way.

This craft was amazing an L-shaped building complete with balconies at the rear (three of them) Below the baconies were two mesh like dishes almost like butterfly wings. These were pulsing a blue/purple light and seemed to be propelling the craft. Underside were three white lights with huge pipes between them.There were two lights at the tall end and one light at the front. Also every straight edge was like a flourescent tube and the craft looked as if constructed with concrete with a yellow appearance. This craft emitted a heavy electrical humming noise as it passed over about fifty feet in the air. Size i would estimate at 120metres long and 40metres wide. 40metres tall at the front for 80metres and the final 40 metres was 80metres tall. The speed i would estimate at 50km/hr or less
