I was looking online for some information related to Delray Beach and accidentally found myself on a UFO site. A fellow reported an object that sounded a lot like one I saw 25 years ago.

I was about 17, living near Chicago, and was taking the garbage out on a cold evening. I lived on Woodside rd. which is an extension of Desplaines rd. Even though it was freezing (I don't remember if there was snow or ice), I went out without shoes or a shirt as I often did. It was only 50ft to the curb and I hurriedly set down the trash. As I turned to dash into the house, I noticed an object in the sky off to my south. It seemed to be hovering over a town called Lyons. It looked like a glowing red sun. I cannot judge the diameter now since it has been so long. The object seemed to be a few hundred feet off the ground and slowly headed toward the ground. As I recall, it disappeared from view as it headed downward. I watched in utter amazement and a short while later it ascended into view. As it continued its ascent, it noticeably shuttered, or vibrated or some similar oscillating motion. It then accelerated from a very slow speed, to a speed at which it disappeared within the span of perhaps 3 seconds.

I did not hear of anyone else having seen the object, which amazed me. Although it was late at night (I don't know the time, 9, 10, 11 oclock) I would have expected at least someone else to notice it. Perhaps someone did and it simply never got much press. I was only 17 and didn't conduct any research beyond asking a few folks at school if they'd seen it. I wish I'd have had a camera. But perhaps it was some atmospheric phenomenon. You would have never convinced me of it at the time though. In closing, I have to admit that I don't believe that extra-terrestrials have ever, or will ever visit earth although I do feel that there is other life.

I was in a friend's MGB, it wa a V8 with the bulging bonnet-a great car. Anyway we were going form Barnet to Hatfield to collect a friend and were northbound on the A1. I was looking casually to the west and realised I was looking a two bright white lights. I asked David to look and he glanced to his left and said "that's weird! Probably a helicopter or something" I said " but they're revolving around each other". He looked gain and said "Oh yer, I see what you mean" but being a lawful driver decided to look back at the road. I continued to look at them until they were behind us to our 8 O'Clock when I stopped. When we picked up ourfriend from his home in Hatfield it was David who actually mentioned our sighting frist, so I guess it looked strange to him also. The lights did seems to be independent but revolving around a common centre of gravity. It looked quite balletic. Like a dance. I was told later when mentioning this to another friend that other people had telephoned a local radio station to report the same sighting. This is unconfirmed. I have always kept it to myself really but I can still picture the objects.

I was on the balcony of our apartment, looking east south-east when I noticed a large, extremely bright object in the sky over Fort Henry but fairly high in the sky. It was very red with a bit of yellow to the colour and I stood there for approx 10 seconds trying to determine what it would be and attempting to put it into some type of context. There was no movement at all and I called my husband to come and see it. He immediately ran for his binoculars when he saw it and reported he saw what appeared to be a row of smaller lights within the original shape. It began to become smaller and seemed to be moving directly away from us as it became smaller and smaller until it disappeared. The speed at which it moved away seemed to be very fast. Total viewing time was approximately 30 seconds.

I have never seen anything this large or bright in the sky. The lighted city was below it and yet it was still distinctly visible. The size was so much larger than even a nearby plane would be, that it was totally puzzling to me and caused me to just stare before I even thought to call my husband.

One night when I was in the third grade I clearly remember waking up to the sounds of geese honking, ducks quacking and dogs barking- I am quite sure that it was a full moon and the sky was clear, except for a few purplish, wispy clouds in the late night (or rather- very early morning) sky. It was such a raucous that my parents, brother and sister rose as well. The whole family looked outside to see what was going on, expecting some sort of large predator or something...but this was much bigger than that...we noticed a strange object in the northwestern sky that looked straight out of a movie or something. The object had white lights: one on the top, one on the bottom, and around five that bisected the first two in a line. It looked like a flying saucer, and we all had to make sure that we weren't dreaming because it was so very strange of an event. Initially, the object was low enough on the horizon that we could scarcely see it above the old oak trees in our backyard, and then it slowly came closer and higher in the sky- moving in a southeastern and upward (from earth) direction. The closest point to us never allowed enough detail to see beyond the lights (which seemed extremely bright- almost a piercing glare- brighter than the stars by quite a bit, and much brighter than any airplane) and shape of the object, and it was moving so slowly that it was impossible to see the movement without allowing several minutes to note the difference. This seemed to be due to the fact that it was so far away, so it must have been quite far away from us in reality, yet it seemed that it had to be studying us- not us as a family, but rather "us" meaning earth. After it was at its closest point to us, the craft moved in an upward (from us) and northeastern direction. It seemed to move a bit more quickly as it was leaving, and it was out of our sight just as the sun was coming up. My older brother took photos, which we had examined by some professors at the University of MInnesota, and they told us that it was a weather balloon. We looked up weather balloons in the encyclopedia (no internet in those days) and the weather balloons did not look a thing like the object we all witnessed. I will try to access the slides from my brother in order to post them with this in the future. By the way, the animals quieted down after about an hour or so...but they new something was up. I remember my parents callilng the police, and they didn't know what it was, either, but I don't recall the exact details of who all was called and said what, other than the garbage about the weather balloon.

they just happen to be driving passed my house just as the hail front hit.

but they stopped beacuse they saw the black hole in the sky.

we spoke for only a min or two.

when the hail hit i ran for cover.

eg.in side my house . were i could see the hole from the window.

it was there 10.mins before the hail.

and only a few mins after the hail.

i never saw it leave(or arrive) a pretty shitty night.. cold as.

I was around fourteen years old and recevied a new telescope for Christmas. I was outside in my yard in Las Vegas looking towards Sunrise mountain when something bright passed through my view. I looked up and saw a distant bright light just above the mountain going straight across the sky. I could not see details but the speed it traveled caught my attention. I have seen many jets at that time by Nellis airforce base but I never seen speed like this before. Because of what I saw I watched the area for some time and around ten minutes later it returned but going the opposite direction from horizon to horizon. The UFO was in the same altitude ( just above the mountain) as when I saw it the first time. I only saw it was because I was watching for it, otherwise I probable would have missed it because of its great speed. I would guess it covered from one horizon to the opposite horizon in ten seconds or so. What made it stand out to me was the great speed I have never before or since and the low altitude, just clearing the mountain.

I Walked outside about :09:00 PM on April 23, 2005 I had taken my two dogs out for there evening walk. I was viewing Saturn when I notice a bright white object moving slowly in a southerly direction. I was only able to view it for a few seconds when the object seemed to brighten and accelerate at a very high rate of speed in an easterly and upward direction. I was only able to view its retreat for about one second and then the object was out of sight.

It was me, my friend, and my sister. We live up high on hill, and we were about to go sledding, and we were waiting in our driveway for someone who was in the house looking for something. It was a beautiful night, we were hoping it would snow more that night, but my friend pointed out as she looked up that there were not many clouds that night, when she said that I looked up, and within seconds I saw a sphere shaped shiny-brown ufo moving about 2x as fast as a plane at a steady rate it was quickly right above us, I was yelling at my sister and friend to look, my friend finely saw it, but my sister never did, it then went off into the clouds. It was the most incredible thing I ever saw I was amazed, and afraid at the same time. Last summer I saw something that seemed odd but could have been a plane as well as an alien UFO, but this was much different this was amazing, and I have done research on things that people have sujested it could have been, such as my dad thought it could have been a weather baloon but I researched it and looked at pictures but it was diffenetly different.
