first i must say i still have chills from finding this site earlier this evening and seeing the description of large, slow moving, triangular objects, and that other people have seen them. what my friends and i saw was exactly that, except for the fact that i wouldnt swear to god that what i saw was triangular. it was quite large. a rough guess would be somewhere between a basketball court and a football field. when we first saw it, at what seemed to be about half a mile, (very rough guess) it was moving across the valley quite slowly (we were viewing from a hill) toward us and there was a light on it. the light was all we could see at that point. at first we thought it was a helicopter. then the light went out about a minute or less into the whole ordeal, sighting, whatever you want to call it. after that im not real sure because all i can remember is that this huge dark monolith, for lack of a better word, passed directly over us. distance is tricky. it seemed to be quite low. almost as if it was going to brush the trees that start growing further up the hill. and i could see a semblance of texture on the underside. it made no noise when it passed over us and no wind or heat. basically it seemed to just creep by until out of site.

During the summers, we used to sleep on the flat rooftops in India. I must have been about 10 years old and around 2 AM a silent disc that emitted purple pulsing lights passed over head. It must have been about 100 feet in diameter, it was about 1000 feet overhead. There were no know planes or other aerial activity in this area in India. I woke up my family and since I was the youngest, they all thought I must have been dreaming. This is the first time that I have written about this.

The year on this is approximate, but I know it was between 1977 and 1979, and it was winter because we were on our way to my aunt and uncle's house in the country for dinner (so it was relatively early) but it was already dark (thus, winter.) On the way, we noticed an odd light hanging over a field off to the right of the car - it looked exactly like the flame from a candle, and was about an inch or so in size, from our perspective. This was much larger than stars or other planes, but smaller than the moon.

It was so strange that we pulled over and all four of us (my parents, my sister, and I) pulled over and got out of the car to watch it. It stayed motionless for quite a while - five or ten minutes - while we watched it, feeling a sense of real wonder. Then, suddenly, it zoomed off, getting smaller and smaller very quickly and finally disappearing. It doesn't seem likely that we could have been staring at a moving object that whole time because of how quickly it disappeared once it seemingly began to move. It appeared to hover for the first period we viewed it.

I'd guess that it was fairly far away, and it did not do anything that made me think it was aware of us. If it was occupied with something, it was several fields over and we didn't come to its attention.

We never saw anything else there.

In the company of two friends, I was on my way to deliver a Christmas parcel to my sister who was living/working in London. We were travelling down the Edgeware Rd toward London when I noticed the object through the window and commented that it looked really odd and was moving very fast. My two friends both looked and saw the object and we stopped the car and got out, and stood there for about 10 minutes watching it literally shoot across the early morning skyline. As I said, the shape was very distinct, like a capital I or H, depending on which way you looked at it, with lights all around the perimiter.

On returning home late Saturday night, I told my family, who listened, but I doubt they believed me. I have a vague memory that the following morning there was an article in the paper (I forget which one) saying that pilots of an aircraft approaching or leaving Heathrow had been 'buzzed' by a UFO at about the same time we saw the object on the Edgeware Rd. As far as I remember there was no mention of the unusual shape.

I've never heard of or seen pictures of a 'UFO' of this shape before and I wonder if anyone else saw it?

Just for the record, I have never believed in UFO's and I use the term to describe the object I saw simply because I don't know what it was or what to call it...

points out i dont bleave in ufos but well i dont no what this could be it flew rownd in the sky side ways fast just as well as right side up and u could see right throo it to the other side of the sky i would probly not have see it if it was up high but it was flying fairly low and the small white lights cort my eye as it moved it would have been some sort of Sorcerer shape thats a bit thick cuz the there were lights going all rownd the top and bottem part of the eagers of the of out side sorcerer part so u could see it had a bit of thick ness there any way soon after moveing up downd and side ways fast with no sound it was off and gone not shore what it was and not shore if i want to no

I was working for wells fargo security in tracy, ca. 79 miles from san francisco, ca. at a pipe company next to a small airport for byplanes. It was about 1:00 or 2:00am I was about to go on my rounds when I heard a small plane coming in for landing. since I love all kinds of planes and they fly right over the small gurd shed I was posted at when they come in for landing I stoped to looke up to whach the small plane heading right toards me I say it was about a mile away when I seen the red light movig from left to right of the bottom of the plane. I thought it might be one of those sighns like you see when at a baseball game. I wanted to see what it read. but as it got closer I seen that it was just a bright red ball. as it was right over my head and the plane was about to land I got a good look at it. It seemed to me the plane was trying to avoid it as the red ball was going to wing tip to wing tip. then the plane sounded like it went to full power and headed to san francisco and the red ball tourds the mountans.I told alot of people and got accused of doing drugs so I havnt told anyone sinse.I just want to find the piolet of the plane.

I was travelling south on Interstate 684 when I saw two bright circular lights in the sky, at first I thought they were stars, then realized they were much too close to be stars. As I was driving, I kept my eys on them, and one of the objects moved in an odd way, it moved fast to the left in approximately a 30 degree angle, while the other object stayed motionless. I knew then this was not any aircraft or airline from the airport due to the sudden odd movement, and the fact that they were stationary for about 30 seconds when I first spotted them. Both objects then suddenly moved very fast north and out of sight. There were hundreds of cars on this highway. You couldn't miss these two objects if you were traveling south on I-684 at that time. The view was absolutely clear.
