Orange glowing light like a star but moving quite fast. No flashing just steady glow.

Glowing light (not flashing like plane) about 10.10 pm and again at 10.45 bigger that a helicopter .There was no sound , Headed south then seemed to go to a pinhead then disappear completely. Clear sky no clouds lots of stars so could not have went into clouds. My son seen similar object 24th September this year. same place ,

Long, thin oval shapes. Very bright orange.

They were around a quarter inch in the sky.

They were hovering a little closer than the average height of airplanes that fly over.

I was viewing them in a rural area, however they seemed to be hovering near Johnson City.

During sunset, I was out feeding my horses. I looked out over the field, and in the distant sky I saw several long orange lights hovering. One was bright and in the center. There was one over to the left of the sunset, and over a course of around five minutes it traveled and nearly collided with the center one. It then disappeared. Three other waxed and waned till they disappeared. When I left, the central light was still hovering overhead.

It was very strange behavior for an airplane.

I was in the parking lot of a large department store- I still do not understand WHY people weren't gather around watching this. Nobody seemed to notice.

I had just come out of the Onterio Department Store, in Cherry Grove- Beechmont Avenue, with my three children. I look up in the sky and saw a round silvery object (very large) with porthole windows all around it. The lights from the windows were in colors. As I drove home- it seemed to be following me, as we could still see it in the sky. When I got to my parent's house I looked up and it was still in the sky (this was about 20 miles from where I had originally seen it. I had my father come out of the house to look at it. He just looked up and said "Yes, that's what it is" ... Suddenly it just took off like the speed of light and was gone. I don't really remember the month and not too sure of the year- My youngest girl was about nine years old- and she was born in '61. Betty L Johnson

I didn't believe in them at all until this signting and had not read a lot about them.

Nothing I have read or heard influenced this sighting- It caught me completely off guard. It wasn't my 'imagination'.. plus I do not know why it stayed above me all the way home.

Large glowing orangish object with vapour trail, about as bright as a stadium light and traveling left to right over pavement.

Object was approximately 30-50 feet across.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

Object was approximately half mile from us, about 30 feet from the ground.

The area was rural motorway with heavy snow on the ground, trees, small hills and as far as I know, no military bases or power plants. Conditions of weather were light snow, heavy overcast clouds and no sun.

On Dec 31sth, 1978, my fiance and I were making a road trip from Manchester to Wales by way of Liverpool, to see Conway Castle and Colwyn Bay. Upon returning, the weather became snowy and we were told by motorway police that the M-56 would be shut down soon, and my fiance insisted we could travel the snowy road since we had a front wheel drive car. About a half hour before the Runcorn exit, we stopped to take a picture of a stone bridge and the snow, I still have a Polaroid of the bridge. While stopped, we noticed a large orange ball-shaped object traveling over the motorway, from left to right and leaving a wispy vapour trail in its wake. It took about 5 minutes to travel across the pavement and then It disappeared behind a large hill. We were stopped while we observed this,and then got back into the car to see what the object was. We travelled down the road, and saw no further trace of it. There was no sound and no other cars on the motorway since the weather was so bad. At the time, there was light snow but the clouds were very close and it was heavily overcast. We agreed to not say anything about the sighting for fear of ridicule, but upon arriving in Shaw, a village outside of Mancheter, to my fiance's parent's house, we observed a televsion report about the sighting, and the following day, a report from Runcorn where a boy had described a large ball-shaped object landing in his father's field, leaving scorch marks amidst the snowy field.

The same type of object had been reported by an Austrailian airline pilot the week prior and film taken of it, and the follwing days after our sighting, the object was reported in several other cities in the UK.

No sun, no blue sky, no weather balloons etc. I don't believe there was any 'man-made' craft that would apply. I'm from a military family and have never seen anything like this.

Witness Statement: Weather conditions: very clear sky, moon very bright. No breeze. Very cold. 2% cloud

Time 20.40: plane with standard navigation lights, size of a darning needle eye at arm's length coming fast across from north-west to south east.

Also simultaneously, orange-light object same size coming over from north to south. Following probable collision path with plane.

Next :plane with standard navigation lights (same size) coming in from North-east to South-west, again apparent collision course with orange object.

Orange object maintains flight path, planes alter direction so that they are flying alongside the orange object, one on each side.

Orange object disappears, leaving only planes, then they are out of my sight.

They must have been massive, because they were not close, yet you could see them clearly.

I saw something astounding in the sky tonight about 8pm as I was taking the Garbage out to the curb near my house. The Moon was about 3/4 full tonight and the sky was clear with a little fog on the field across from my house. I noticed a golden light in the

Eastern sky over the hill where the Redwoods are. It was high in the sky like a star, but much much bigger than a star. Then suddenly there were bright golden lights all over the sky! They appeared in one place for a few seconds then disappeared, many of them. Then 2 ships with flashing red and blue lights came swooping down and swooped around each other and then flew straight off to the North. I watched dumbfounded the whole time! I dont really know what to make of it. Terrestrial or Aliens?

But I saw something spectacular and very unusual tonight.
