One night I was about 5 years old when I saw this unusual encounter driving with my father when I saw them I thougt they we're lights of a aircraft but then they broke up and disappeared.

I saw a UFO hover over Pat’s Peak in 1981 and then start to move slowly but gaining speed, slowly, until it got up to maybe 100 MPH. I could hear it, it sounded like a huge diesel engine, like a big Caterpiller engine. Then all of a sudden, in less than 2 seconds time, it went from about 100 MPH to 1000, or so, MPH before it disappeared to the north. First, David Eilenberger, the driver of the Sno-Cat said “What’s that blue light up there?” I looked and there was a stationary blue light in the sky about 5000 feet up and over, about, the top of the Breeze Trail. Then 2 white lights appeared just like it turned around and it had headlights. So now there’s a blue light and 2 white lights moving toward us but missing going over us. It was dark and I didn’t see any shape of this mysterious airborne craft. It was going in a, “dead-nuts” straight line-NOT following the curvature of the Earth, as I perceived it. I believe it was climbing. It went maybe 50 to 100 miles before I couldn’t see it anymore so maybe that’s not enough distance to tell if it was or was not following the curvature of the Earth.

With wide view over Indian Ocean and Cape Town city, I was outside having a cigarette; about 9pm 4-6-2013, at the crest of the beach; lit only by the city lights and sparse low level lighting 60 feet behind me.

My gaze was fixed on a Lion's Head beacon, about 15 miles away - soon some movement in my peripheral vision yielded 3 very bright white (bluish) lights orbiting slowly, approx. 200ft apart, about 300-400 ft above the southern edge of the city. I immediately moved to record the sight, but my phone was not with me. About 8 seconds later one light extinguished, the second extinguished in the same place as they rotated, the third faded quickly, rising over Table Mountain as it did so. A bank of light fog near the mountain may account for the dimming.

Object was about 7 miles from my location, with no discernible noise. Lights rotated for 8-10 secs, all gone within 25 secs. While I am unconvinced of the existence of UFOs, my first sighting ever is striking in that I realised it was only my initial gaze, some 100 degrees to the north, that made me aware of the movement - the direct view had the appearance of nothing special.

Large very bright orb in swirling cloud. Then on the night very large very bright shining orb.

As the object was about a mile or more away I cannot estimate it`s size though it did appears to be a large object.

About a mile and about four or five hundred feet in the sky.

The first sighting of the object it was travelling in broad daylight above Kedward Avenue in the Brambles Farm council estate in Middlesbrough Yorkshire. The second sighting was above Pallister Park which is in the Pallister Park Council Estate Middlesbrough.

When I was a young lad of 13 or 14, (I can`t remember the exact date), I was talking to three friends outside their house at the top of Kedward Avenue in Brambles Farm Middlesbrough.

The time was just after 4pm. I remember the time exactly as it was home time for the children of Brambles Farm Junior School and all the children were pouring out of the main gate and heading down Kedward Avenue on their way home.

I lived in this road and was used to the coming and goings of the children as they came to and from the school.

As we talked something very odd happened, there was suddenly total silence, it took a minute or so for us to realize how quiet the children pouring out of the school gates had suddenly become.

When we looked around we saw all of the children stopped and all were looking upwards, they were staring at this strange cloud moving silently directly above the road moving northwards.

In the center of this boiling swirling cloud was a very large bright shining orb.

One felt as though one could reach up and touch it as it silently moved in a straight line above the road.

We all watched this apparition as it continued away north. Then suddenly all the children began chatting away and continued on their homeward journeys.

We looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders and started chatting away and for the moment forgot about the strange thing that we had just witnessed.

It must be emphasized that it was a beautiful clear evening with cloudless blue skies when this weird sight was witnessed.

Later that night we had all met on the small common just a short distance from were we had seen this cloud with the large orb at it`s center.

As we stood their talking about nothing in particular, (this time there was a half dozen of us) I can`t remember which of my friends spotted the object but he said in an excited voice "look at that and pointed over towards Pallister Park.

Again I must emphasize it was a beautiful clear night with no cloud, with all the stars clearly in view.

What we saw was a large very bright glowing orb moving very slowly coming from the south heading north.

From were we stood it was approximately a mile or so distant, as the object came directly over Pallister Park it stopped, it then began to grow in size until it was about three or four times it`s original size.

When it stopped expanding it began emitting very loud noises like thunder, the object stayed in its stationary position for more than 20 minutes. During this period another very bright orb had detached itself from the object and descended down to the ground.

After about 15 minutes the smaller orb returned to the larger orb and then the object returned to it`s original size, the noises ceased and the object slowly made its way north.

Myself and my friends watched the object till it disappeared over the horizon.

Naturally, we being young lads all dashed home to tell our parents what we had witnessed.

The next day at school everyone was on about a space ship that people had seen land in Pallister Park.

Running along the outside of the park are a long row of houses and several of the people living in these dwellings had heard the noise that this object was making and came out of their homes to see what was causing the noise.

Many of our schoolmates who lived in these houses said that they had seen a space ship land in the park and then after several minutes take off and return up and go inside the much larger bright shining orb from which it had came..

One has to remember that the term UFO at this time, (the early sixties) was not a term commonly known or understood amongst us school kids and our parents so the term "Space ship" was the more common parlance.

The next evening the story was reported on the local TV news (BBC look north), the reporters were very mocking as I remember talking about little green men.

The local media had been inundated by people reporting what they had seen and the object had be seen all over the North East of England.

I believe the local police had also been inundated with calls from alarmed residents living around Pallister Park.

The local newspaper The Middlesbrough Evening Gazette also reported the incident.

This incident has remained in my memory as fresh as the day it happened, I am now almost 63 years old and I will never forget what I saw of those two incidents on that day.

Unfortunately I can`t remember the exact date but I have always had in the back of my mind to go to the Middlesbrough Gazette and look into their archives to see if I can find the article written about the incident and find out exactly the day it happened.

It certainly wasn`t an airplane, a balloon,Venusor anything of that sort, unless Venus had come down to earth and decided to travel above the road in broad daylight.

I have used my photo editor on my iPhone and have been quite startled.I felt the orb was watching the plane.One UFO is in a cloud bottom left of photo a disc with a dome is seen pulsating in the cloud.Two other discs on the photo are gliding down wards one silver and one a hazy white both with domes .These are in the middle of the photo.
