AT ABOUT 5:30 AM I SAW A BRIGHT LIGHT MOVING SOUTH TO NORTH SLOWLY ABOUT THE SPEED OF A SLOW MOVING PRIVATE PLANE.THIS WAS NOT A PLANE,THERE NO VISIBLE BLINKING NAVIGATION LIGHTS.AS I WAS WATCHING A FAST MOVING JET APPROACHED FROM THE NORTHWEST.I KNOW THIS WAS A JET BECAUSE THE NAVIGATION LIGHTS WERE VISIBLE.I COULD ALSO SEE THE MOON LIGHT REFLECTING OFF THE VAPOR TRAIL BEHIND IT. AS THE JET NEARED THE BRIGHT LIGHT(ABOUT FIVE MILES?) IT SUDDENLY VANISHED AND DID NOT REAPPEAR.THIS SIGHTING OCCURRED OVER A PERIOD OF ABOUT FOUR MINUTES.

While observing the line-up of the planes scheduled to land at Midway Airport, I noted a white disc like object traveling from the south towards the north at an unusual speed. A speed faster than any machine that we have, and traveling at an altitude higher than any jet plane. This disc like glowing object came to a complete stop in mid-air...then darted out into space which seemed to close to the speed of light...leaving a trail of light behind it. I was not the only person on the lakefront that witnessed this event. In fact when this disc-like object came to a stop, then darted out into space, everyone that saw it shouted out at the same time, "Did you see that?" Keep in mind that we did not know each other nor did we know that otrhers were watching this disc-like object.One thing for sure is that we all knew that it was a UFO or flying saucer or vehicle from another planet.

I had research the possibility of ET life from the lost city of Atlantis , the Egyptian pyramids, area 51, and the simple fact of the enormous size of our universe and the billions of other galaxies in it. I entertained questions like, "Could we be the only ones in all of this vast universe?" My answer kept coming back as, "No way!" Seeing that disc-like object that night confirmed to me that there is intelligent and far superior life in existence.

I think that it is a sad situation that the United States government, along with NASA does not reveal the existence of Alien intelligence.

White, like lights, smooth and spherical, yet more like M&Ms. no pink pigmentation, or flashing, so obviously not an aeroplane.

roughly, judging by distance, 3 metres high, with a radius of 8 metres at a guess, when combined, roughly 8 by 16 metres.

750-800 metres for car in travel. Spotter in vehicle at time of sighting.

Rural area, near short highway, roughly 800 metres from centre of town. Town has a large power consuming area, yet the objects were far from that.

Two creamy-white lights were travelling at approx. 65-70 miles/hr, over the engineering district in Portland at around 6.30 in the morning. They were going straight until they stopped in a instant and began to dart around in my direct eyesight. The two objects darted from point to point, those points being 500 to 1kilometre apart, and the object would get from point to point in the click of a finger. The two objects then became one and shot off over the horizon at twice the original speed. Sky cleared of clouds in the shape of the object, clouds surrounding then glowed red for a brief period.

Definately not man made. Lights behaving erradically, and unlike plastic baggage or aircraft.

I watch UFO stuff on the discovery channel, and am a firm believer, yet this was my first sighting, and haven't had one since. i suffer from no medical conditions that may have brought this on, and am completely convinced that the objects were extra-terrestrial.

Other Comments

Usually, at the time of year described, cows hang out by the fenceline, however, for the remaining week, they were all huddled together near the milking shed. When I asked the owner of the property where this took place, he stated that the cows had never acted like this before.

I took 4 photo's of an odd looking round cloud, and a very bright object shaped like saturn. The photo's were taken one right after the other without lag time between them. The round cloud made some very huge dramatic movements, while the smaller bright object did not move.

These photo's were taken at sunrise, all from the same angle, all have the same ground reference, and a short jet trail appears between the objects.

Not at all. I took the photos because I thought the round cloud was very odd, and I didn't notice the movement until I put the photos together,,,,wish I took more, nor did I notice the saturn object until I looked at the photos, I am not a ufo hunter, and I had no clue about how these photos would turn out
