The object was a matte gray, definitely non-reflective and looked like a large 55gal drum. No lights were emitted.

I estimate the size of the object to be 10ft tall by 7.5ft wide. I gather this estimate by comparison with the height of the trees it was in front of. Relative size, add an inch to both height and diameter of a 12oz pop can.

Estimated distance from me is 150yrd and height at 40ft.

Description of Area / Surroundings

Rural transcending to Suburban, along the shore of Grand Lake St Mary's. The lake has a military history as an inert bomb range, but is no longer used for that purpose. Closest military base is Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. There is a small airport in Montezuma, OH on the other side of the lake and one in New Knoxville, OH about 20 miles from my locaiton at the time.

I was driving east on Ohio State Route 703 from St Marys to Celina. West of the WSU extension campus I heard a high pitched tone through my window (it was about half way down). I looked toward the noise and saw a cylinder shaped object keeping pace with me against the trees and along the shore of Grand Lake St Marys. The object kept pace with me for about 0.25miles and entered into some wooded lots that also had homes. When I reached the other side I no longer saw the object but could hear the tone become fainter and fainter as I gained distance from the last known location.

The trees are about 40-50ft high, all pine. The object was near the tops and was about 1/5 the height of the trees. I was about 125-150yds from the tree line. The object looked similar to a very large flying 55gal drum that was dark grey in color. Weather conditions were overcast with a slight breeze coming off the lake, the water was not very choppy. I was traveling at 60mph and the object was keeping pace with me. I noticed the drive of a pickup in front of me was also looking out the window and tapped his brakes when I could no longer see the object. We pulled up side by side at an intersection of OH703 and OH29 and asked eachother about the object. He was driving an F-150, I was driving a GMC Sonoma. He (Steve McGregor of Celina, OH) told me he thought it was spinning on the vertical axis, I did not think it was spinning, but it was asymetrical with no lights, could make it hard to tell. He also noticed the high pitched tone.

On the way home I took the same route back, I did not hear the high pitch tone nor did I see anything resembling what I had seen on the way there.

Hard to say. My dad was in the USMC for 22yrs living around aircraft much of my life I have never seen anything I would say resembled this. My best guess as a man made object would be some sort of rocket stage maybe falling. To the best of my knowledge no such rockets are launched in this area. I would not rule out the possibility of this object being man made.

I believe UFO's are what they are and that the term is relative. If you can't ID a flying object, it's unidentified. A UFO and become and IFO later on. Do they have anything to do with alien species? I don't believe aliens exist.

It is sphere like, it looks like that its color is silver, it shines just like when you take a stainless steel and put it under the sun.

In a relative size i gues it would be the size of my thumb nail, and my estimate it would be like 1-2 kilometers accross if im right to its exact positioning.

In my life I never really beleive on the bizzare. But there's one thing that bothered me from the night I just looked at the sky, And I just kept on thinking about it. Cause I'm not really sure! It's the night I just came to my girlfriend just to say hello. That time we did'nt go out and I was alone walking home. I'm just so disappointed because in so many time I go out with my girlfriend or even with my friends why is it that in that time I finally saw the unbelievable and mostly known as mysterious. Is it coincidence that UFO's is doing it in purpose. to just appear in front of you alone were no one else could see? Its round and I think that it's colored silver.. in my hypothesis it use silver to reflect the ones below w/c is the sea, when it reflects it looks like part of the sky in the morning. and at night you see it shining brightly just like the moon when the rays of the suns light hits it thats why it is commonly seen at night than in the morning. I think its bigger than a stadium, and i think it never crosses the earth's barrier because if it did in that speed it will creat a tail like crossing in the earths atmosphere. first I saw it in the right side, I thought its just a star but somethings wrong its too near to be a star so I kept staring at it and suddenly it shifted to the left in unbelievable speed. Its too big to just shift in more than the speed of light, its just theoretically impossible. And what's more amazing to my story is that after it shifted to the left it just disappeared in the cool air. It looks like when u open a flash light and point it into the wall and just turn it off!. I dont know really if i'm the only one who saw it that night. and I know that im not the first man who so this because I've heared the story but did'nt actually seen it before that night. nobody else has an interest looking above at night in my place so I guess im the only one who've seen it.

During an early morning shift while part of a field exercise at Twenty Nine Palms, I witnessed an unusual event.

My duties that evening were to retrieve message dispatch reports from a GP tent 70 or so yards away. Every hour I would follow this path in desert and pick up this report and deliver it to the officer on duty that evening. At just before 3:00 am I began to make my way to the S-2 Intelligence tent to retrieve the report. As I walked to the tent,

looked up at the evening sky because the stars were soo overwhelming to view in the desert night sky. One star caught my eye that evening because it seemed unusually vibrant blue, and I wasn't sure if it was moving, so I stopped moving and stood still. Sure enough the object was moving, and it seemed to be slightly unstable as it made its way across the sky towards my general direction. I thought this was going to be one of those distant viewing opportunities, but I found that as the object moved in my direction It became larger and larger. It continued to move with a very slight wobble at times. Its path actually crossed directly overhead. What I saw was quite interesting. The detail of where the light was emmenating was quite visible and easily discernable. As the object travelled across my path it seemed to be about 300 to 400 Meters above me . I saw a bluish white light being generated from a circular area which appeared to be about 8 to 10 Meters in diameter. Inside the circle of what appeared to be a kind of ionized or ozone charged field of light, I could actually see what looked like two globular like shaped ( Machine components ) swimming continuously back and forth in concentrically. As the orb like detail moved back and forth, they seemed to leave wakes behind them which they would continue to rotate through. Within the circle, where the shapes oscillated, I saw a rail road-like pattern, very turbine like, but not spinning. There was no sound, of this I'm certain. It moved in the sky in an L-pattern, then hovered for a moment and began to ascend. i quickly ran back into our GP tent and asked the Officer on duty to come outside and look at something. I pointed to the object which was still discernable. But i don't think he immediately saw what I was trying to get him to see until when he finally looked and commented that it looked like a blue star. Amaizingly this object did in fact move straight up until it really was not discernable from all the other stars in the sky.

Around 8pm on March 30th, 2006, my boyfriend and I were walking the dog when we saw this bright orangish-red orbish looking light in the sky. So we stood there for a little while and watched it. After about 3 minutes, we started walking again. While we walked, we kept watching the area where we saw it, to see if it was behind the houses or trees. We didn't see it anywhere. When we reached the end of the block, there it was again. Just floating there. Then we stood there for about 2 more minutes. We ran the rest of the way back to my house and told my dad. (My uncle saw one when he was my age in Rochester Hills). I wanted to get my camera to take a picture of it or record a video. But when we got back outside, it was totally gone.

No, it was so weird. Too low to be a star, not a planet (it moved at least a couple city blocks within a matter of seconds), definitely not the moon, birds, or clouds. Not even close to being a man-made object.

Round, saucer shaped with a slightly offset bottom section (a little smaller than the main body). It was a dark color, I don't know which because it was a rather dark night. It had softly glowing, undulating , multicolored lights toward the bottom at what must have been the back of the sphere (propelling the thing I guess ) .

I was 15 at the time and was poling a boat down the Eastern fork of the Kentucky river late at night looking for a good fishing spot. I heard a soft humming sound overhead and looked up. About 100 feet above my head was a huge round object with dim multicolored lights at its bottom toward the back. It hovered there above my head for about 30 seconds and then shot at an unbelievable speed across the mountain in the distance (about 2 miles). It covered the space in about 3 seconds. I poled the boat to the shore and ran home without stopping (about 2 miles). Remember it as plain today as then although I am almost 56 years old. Believe it folks. They are out there.

Definitely not man made. They didn't have anything that could come close in 1957. The sky was crystal clear, no fog. Object was very, very close and scary.

I was on the terrace thinking about something when i saw a mysterious object flying in the sky.Firstly, i thought it was an aeroplane but it turned out to be completely different.It was black in colour and quite round in shape.

It moved slowly in the sky. when i saw it from a distance approaching towards me,it appeared to be at a low altitude but as it came closer it climbed up but not in a usual manner.it appeared to be rotating and going up at an angle very close to being vertical.it continued its motion for nearly 10 minutes and then to my astonishment,it disappeared.

To whomever reads this. Rest assured this is a real exerience. Even though this occured back in 96 I still remember it very clearly, and I feel it is important that I report this now.

Behind my home was a wooded area. I frequently went for bikerides and played there at that time I was 13 years old. It was the middle of the day, while me and a younger friend of mine were playing with an ant colony in the woods. One of us turned around and alerted the other to a strange band of light floating several feet above the ground a few meteres away from us. We did not know at first what it was so we stood there at first questioning eachother what it was and wether or not it was some sort of optical illusion. It was moving somewhat erratically up and down but in an overall direction towards us. To our horror, it approaced within 1 metre of us and we realised this was no illusion and ran out from the woods and home.

Looking back on this, I dont know whether it was something spiritual or some sort of bizarre craft.

The main body was like an upside down saucer with a cylindrical 'turret' on the top. The 'turret' was approximately 3 feet across and 2 to 3 feet high and appeared to rotate. It had windows perhaps of a green color that may have been 8 sided. The main body was approximately 12 to 15 feet across and approximately 4 feet thick and was supported by legs...I think 3, which held the craft 4 feet off the ground. There was a ladder that reached the ground from the center underside. The craft was skin was metallic. the windows gave off some light.

The measurements I gave were based upon a city neighborhood street. The craft could fit in the center of the street with a car parked on either side.

I was 50 to 60 feet away at most.

This was an neighborhood in our city. Nearby there is a small airport for light planes etc. There is an elementary school nearby . The streets are lined with houses on either side... from curb to opposite curb perhaps 30 feet. The houses are single family ranch style homes built in the early 1950's. We had the normal compliment of telephone poles. Each house generally had a 10 foot easement between them.

This sighting took place approximately 40 years ago. I saw this as a child but did not start to remember it until my late 30's to early 40's. My memory has me standing in the middle of my street in the winter time. It must have been in the early morning hours.... there was no one around and very quiet. It had just snowed and the reflection of the street lights on the snow made it very bright. I was directly in front of my house. I had no recollection of going outside. There in front of me perhaps 50 or 60 feet was this saucer shaped craft. It had an upper turret that rotated slowly ... that part had some windows that might have been eight sided. The shape of the craft was similar to a lid on a teapot ...the top being small and cylindrical. It was supported by legs ...I think 3. It had a ladder from the center underside down to the ground. A distance of approximately 4 feet to the ground. The totat size of the craft was 12 to 15 feet across and maybe 6 or 7 feet high. It made little or no sound.

The amazing thing about this memory is that I absolutely KNOW that it happened because my brother saw it too. About 4 years ago my older brother and I were hiking ( winter time) at a local area overlooking town. We stopped and talked for a while about life etc. I decided to tell him of my 'memory' of the UFO. I was fully expecting him to laugh and question my sanity. As I was relating to him about the craft he interrupted me and said "I saw it too"....he went on to describe the way it looked with details of the windows and the size and shape and the ladder down from the center, just as I remembered it.!! He and I had never discussed this as kids. I did not start remembering until several years ago. My brother explained that no one would believe him... so he quit talking about it. In fact he bought a telescope to see when they would come back! I have asked my mother and she does not remember us reporting anything.

I have more to add. The 'turret' or top of space craft perhaps did not rotate but rather the lights inside cycled one window to the next following the perimeter of the 'turret' giving the effect of rotation. I just talked with my brother....' he was in the house looking out his bedroom window( my room was next to his). He watched the craft for maybe 'two minutes'. He did not see me and does not remember anything else.' What is really strange to me is how I can't remember 90% or more of my early childhood. Prior to seventh grade, things are a bit cloudy. This is well known with my mother and brothers. Some things stand out in my memories but I have large gaps of time missing.

I hope this helps. I am frustrated, to say the least, that there are so many skeptics out there. And of course the government denials I find insulting. Perhaps someday the truth will come out.

Before the sighting I was probably ignorant of any of it. After the sighting and in my early adult years I always felt like they were real and that we on earth are not alone. Upon remembering the sighting ( in my mid 40's) I absolutely believe that there are other life forms and we have been visited for a very long time. I was probably not exposed to much information on UFO's prior to the sighting as I was fairly young.

I have often wondered if I was abducted at this time of sighting . My recollection was of standing in the middle of the street , at night, in the winter. The angle that I would have had to see the object from my bedroom was not the angle that my memory sees it from. I was thrilled and relieved when my brother shared with me that he saw the same event.

UFO sighting around 1966

Ok I was a school boy aged around 14 at the time.

Sorry I didn’t take a careful note of the date but the area was Morrison Boys secondary modern School Rose Lane Liverpool England.

I was 14 or 15 years old so the year was 1966 or 67. I seam to remember it was in the first term after summer. The weather was fine and dry with a very clear sky. The time being around 7: 30pm, we where on a break from (TD) Technical Drawing class with the teacher being Mr., Marsdon.

So being bad lads we where having a fag (cigarette) in the school yard between the old and new block of the school.

I was the first to see what ever it was and pointed it out to the others at least 7 lads in the class saw the same thing but I was the only one that was real interested in what ever it was.

If you hold your arm at full stretch with your thumb and fore finger apart, the two average looking stars look like they where that distance apart, they where crossing the very clear night sky keeping the same distance apart going parallel with each other at the same speed.

So you would say that they where most likely the wing lights of an aircraft. Yes but after a short while the one on the left stud still while the one on the right went about 270 degrees around it and went off again in parallel, they moved off in the other direction.

So not any aircraft that I know of at that time. There was no noise from it that I or anybody else could hear so I imagine it was high if indeed they where connected. The light was not in anyway intense as I said constant looking like an average star. However looking really high meaning very big indeed. Satellites may be but in 1967 there where not so many as there are today only sputnik, telstar and a few more I guess. And Satellites don’t change direction. Falling star or meteorite yes well neither do they change direction. We watched this for about 15 minuets and the speed was slow looking like you would see a satellite today

So that is what I saw along with other class mates.

After 40 years I have found your site and I would be grateful if one of your experts would get back to me on this and give me a clue on what it could have been all those years ago.
