Hook Hampshire UK UFO sighting

On an evening in the summer of 1990 I was riding home to my house from a friends house, where I had been watching movies for the evening, it was about 11PM and I only had about a 4 or 5 minute journey home, the surrounding area was mostly housing estates, not the usual surroundings for a UFO encounter.

Half way through my journey, I came to a T junction, no cars where on the road at the time, when I all of a sudden felt rather strange, like when you think someone is watching you. I looked up to see a large disk shaped object hovering over me, around 60 to 70 foot in the air, it was around 50 foot in diameter, it was silent except for a very low sounding hum, a little like a power station hum. The craft was circular with a ball in the centre, that seemed to be glowing orange like the cherry of a cigarette, the circular space outside of the glowing ball was like a black metal, kind of a dark purple silver. There was also a smell that reminded me of electronics class at school, it was of a sulphur type of smell, like when you are using a soldering iron.

I am not sure exactly the amount of time I stood there for until I turned to see a man had come out of his home, maybe about 20 seconds since first seeing it, he was standing on his doorstep looking much the same as I was, staring up at the craft in amazement, although the craft was directly over my head, I did not feel scared at the time, I was to confused as to what I was looking at to feel anything. After what must have been about 30 more seconds to a minute, it slowly and silently ascended upwards around another 100 or so foot, then moved forwards towards the north of me for about 50 yards, hovered for a few seconds, and then shot of to my right, which was the direction of RAF Odiham around 8 miles away, the craft moved so fast that it looked like it just vanished in thin air, but you could just make out that it moved off in a certain direction, the only sound it made was a slight whooshing sound, as if it had disturbed the air as it sped through the atmosphere.

I looked back at the man on his doorstep, and he was looking at me in a confused manner, I then started to feel a little worried in case it came back, and continued on my journey home, I got home in a very excited state at what I had seen, my parents I think thought I had gone loopy, I calmed down somewhat and went to bed as I had school the following day, that night I started to feel very unnerved, as I was starting to think could it ever come back?.

The following day I got up tired, because of lack of sleep, and went to catch my school bus, which was only a few yards from where I saw the craft, while waiting I went and knocked on the mans door who had also seen it, because I was desperate to find out what he had thought it was, his wife (I think) answered the door, I asked if her husband was in and she asked why, and I said because I wanted to know what he thought about that strange thing last night, and she became agitated and told me not to speak such silly nonsense, then as she was closing the door I saw the man with shaving foam all over his face, but the women closed the door, so I never got to find out what he thought about the experience.

I often wonder if anyone else had seen it from there window, maybe not though, as it was very silent (If anyone did please Email me, I would love to hear from you, it happened by the Hook bypass greenhaze@hamptonroads.com).

I am not sure what it was, maybe a secret military craft, or maybe an alien craft, but I really don’t believe that with our modern technology, that we could build something so perfect as what I saw that night. I did not imagine it either, as the man definitely saw it too, and the day after the women at the house acted as if her husband (or boy friend) had told her about it based on her reaction.

It was around 4 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and the sky was bright but overcast. I was at a large 1st floor west facing window, in a suburban area. I looked to the left (south), and noticed that above the roofs off the houses was a black scalene triangle, its long sid paralell withe the ground, moving very slowly from the east toward the west. It then hovered for a few seconds motionless, then darted off west at an incredible speed, so fast that I could hardly see it go. It seemed to smeer across the sky. It was moving in the direction of its shortest side. I was a child at the time, and I thought that it was an American stealth plane, the Nighthawk specifically, but not long after I learnt that we can't build craft that can hover or accelerate that way. Also, I looked at a picture of a Nighthawk and saw that it had two big fins at the back, and the thing I saw did not. I can't remember if it made a sound or not. I think it was no more than 30 meters away, and it was very low, just above the chimney tops.

No, the stability of the hover, rate of acceleration and the sheer speed of it are not possible by man made aircraft

a suddenly arrival from space with high speed of a object which was more a strong lightgiving thing with yellow and white light

it moved several times with high speed from left to right in the bay.

it stayed for aprox 5 minutes after it left with supersonic speed in to space, slowly making the light become small untill it disappeared.

the atmosphere at the beach at that time bacame a little scary ,and some greeks nearly panicked.

March 13,1997. Aprox 1330. I was sitting in my truck eating lunch. I was in Des Moines memorial drive and 116th ave so. I could see an occasional plane taking off or landing at Boeing field. As I watched a small plane departing a large silver sphere intersected the planes travel. This sphere was traveling faster than anything I have seen. It was going from south to north. It traveled a good distance, and when I thought it would disappear it stopped for a split second. It then changed the direction west towards me. In a split second it was dancing in the cloud above me. It would appear for a split second then be gone again. It would instantly appear roughly a half mile away each time , and appear at different altitudes. I estimate my sighting to be aprox 40 seconds. I thought it would be all over the news, but admittingly had I not been watching the airplane I may not have seen the sphere.

From far away it looked like F117 Stealth bomber without tail. Colour: yellowish light all over the body, as if the body was full of cristal yellowish light blinking. Moving slowly and the disappeared behind the cloud.

It was when I was just eleven years old, my brother was just 17th, my father was retired from the head of Sub District of Lakmaknen, District of Belu, NTT Province, Indonesia. By chance my father got up early at around 04.00-04.30am. He was horified with some unidentief objects from the border of East Timor and West Timor, it was around 12-15km from our house. My father woke up me, my brother and my mom to see around 6 burning objects in the sky that were moving slowly in the border. They were in march sequently the smallest to the bigest size. We could witness they for around not less than10minutes, and they all disappered to southern horizon. Unfortunately we did not have any camera (camera is too rare).

The term UFO had been known by my father. He explained us if they were not really planes, they must have been very noisi and woke up all people. He told us, they must be UFOs. Even he also asked some people from the border, if they had seen the objects. Some people in the border witnessed that they were completly different plane, as they were iluminating with cristal in lamps and soundless and noiseless. Even a Catholic Priest from Germany who were living closed to the border confessed that he did not hear any sound from the flying objects that woke him up at the moment. It was thought that they were Indonesian Air's F20 Sabre fighting jets, but why no noice. As it was the beginning of fighting in East Timor. I would only say they are UFO.

Firstly my father fought that they were Australian fighting planes. But why no engine explosion at all. adn the shape was so different, and why so iluminating?

It was like a stero-type ufo. The classic2 plates put together shape kind of but MUCH larger. Also, on top of its HUGE "plates" there sat a dome. I really stared at it and i could see a actual city. It looked way ahead of our time. haha, actually it was kind of what someone would picture it as, Very round. Although i could not see the colors of the city, what i did see was a BRIGHT orange/yellow/red kind of mixed together.

It was when i was around 9 yrs old, i went out with my mom and sister to the store. Well, on the way down the street (where there werent many houses sticking up blocking the view),

i saw a VERY big light in the sky.... kind of a neon orange. I kept staring and gazing at it in amazment (at the time i was kind of into ufos/unexplained mysteries). I asked my mom and she just said other things that werent even close to it like "Its a jet", "Then its a light", "A Planet" etc. Of course i kept staring at it and it looked like it was a floating city (no joke or lie)

I know I sound probably crazy but im sure it had to be. I stared at it and it was almost hard to look at, but I could see a outline of rounded buildings that look almost like a very round Seattle Space Needle. When we finally got to the store i couldnt stop thinking about it. Then, by the time we left and passed by the last place i saw it, it was nowhere to be seen. Seriously, im pretty sure it had to be one because while in the air it wasnt moving... almost as if it was suspended there like connected to somthing. If so, then how come it wasnt visible anymore? Only a 30-45 minute trip couldn't have changed it much. When i arrived home, I remembered a book i bought from the School Book Fair on UFOs, and how kids would draw them after seeing them and send them in. So thats what i did, i drew it colored the sky black and even wrote a date on it(I never sent it in). A few years later i found it after cleaning my room and getting rid of old junk. I saw the picture and of course threw it away, only thinking of it as a past memory, not thinking i shouldve kept it.

It seemed to be at a great distance, perhaps a mile and a half or more away from my position. But it was a clear view, as there were absolutely no clouds to obstruct my view of it. It seemed to be spherical, as round and defined as a metal marble, and shiny like polished chrome. What appeared to be a reflection of the sun was consistent with its relative position- that being from my vantage point the sun was slightly to my left while facing west/northwest, and the object to the right of the sun. The "reflection" was on its upper left side, and the visual distortions consistent with a chrome ball or maybe the backside of a spoon were, at what seemed quite a distance, visible.

The relative size was between three-quarters of an inch to half of an inch. There was nothing near enough to gauge what I thought would be its actual size, it was higher than any trees, lightposts, buildings or telephones. But if I were to make a completely naive guess, it could have been as big as eight or possibly ten feet across.

The area of my shop is mostly restaurants, some nightclubs, a few retail businesses. Nothing real industrial in nature that I can think of. There is an air force base miles away, south, near Clear Lake. Towards the area where it could have been hovering over would be similar to where my shop is, with the execption of some neighborhoods, apartment complexes, but otherwise typical retail businesses and strip centers.

It was approximately 5:15 p.m. I was standing in front of my store near the intersection of Richmond Ave and Fountainview, facing west/northwest. Weather conditions all day long had been clear skies, not a cloud to speak of, medium winds, and somewhere in the mid to high '60s. I had stepped outside the store to smoke a cigarette, and I walked to the western end of our front walkway. As I reached the end I looked up casually, and I immediately saw this metallic sphere. It drew my attention because it was the only thing in the sky besides some birds and the sun. The sun was obscured from my view by a building on the same side of the street as my shop, which would be the south side of Richmond Ave. This sphere stood out from the light blue of the sky on account of its shiny appearance; it looked somthing like a highly polished metal marble, maybe like a small pinball or a large bearing. It appeared to be hovering, or at the least it was making no movement. As I started to try to register what I was looking at, it gradually disappeared. I use the term gradually because it was not sudden. Likewise, it didn't take a long time, but it just evenly and gradually dissolved into the same color as the sky. I was even more astounded at its disappearance than I was at the first glimpse of it. I was in mid-sentence in my conversation with my friend and I began to stammer, trying to verbalize what I'd just seen. "I just...I saw....I saw something weird just now..." A few seconds later, maybe fifteen to twenty seconds, the sphere reappeared instantly and in approximately the same position. I hadn't let my eyes wander nor did I look away, I was scanning in the same area of the sky, at something like a fifty-to-sixty degree angle up, in a west/northwest direction. It seemed to make no motion initially, but after about eight seconds it made an arc to the left and upwards, continuing then to the right, as if to draw a small half circle from the bottom, leftwards, to the top, and starting- as it were- from a six o'clock position to the twelve o'clock position. Maybe a couple of seconds then, and it disappeared as quickly as it had reappeared previously. I had seen something more unexplainable than I've ever seen in my life, and I hung up with my friend and continued to stare at the same area in the sky for a few minutes, giving way finally to scanning broader and broader fields until I was convinced I wasn't going to see anything else.

It seemed to be on the same side of the horizon as the sun, and with no clouds to speak of it stood out in contrast to the light blue of the sky. The sun was still at a position of about ten o'clock. I could all but precisely make out the objects finite shape, that of a spere, but it definitely didn't have wings and I could detect nothing in the way of blinking lights or moving parts (like blades on a helicopter). The way it disappeared and reappeared, as well as its arc-movement, I don't know of any man-made aircraft which can do that. I've seen the way the sun reflects on the side or the underbelly on some commercial airliners as they make a slow bank turn- it wasn't that for sure. The only thing I could compare it to is a highly polished, chrome/metallic surfaced sphere. I don't know of anything in nature which would come close in comparison to what I saw.

I have to be skeptical. I always have been- in regards to UFOs in any case. When I was young I went through a phase reading books (aimed at children) about UFOs and aliens and men in black and all that. Over the years of growing up (I'm 36) I've seen the countless frauds and hoaxes exposed. I had all but decided there was no such thing. I still have to wonder about all the Area 51 and Roswell, NM business. But I watched a UFO video one time called "Voyagers of the Sixth Sun" which reported on "ovni" or UFO sightings in Mexico since the solar eclipse of '91 (I think?). That video made me rethink what I believed about visitors from space, or at the least the existence of technology, regardless of whose it is, which is unlike anything the general population of the world is familiar with. What I saw today would appear to be the same as some of what I saw on that video, in terms of the appearance and the way it disappeared and the minimal movement I observed. When I looked up and saw it, it was already hovering there. It could have been there longer, but from the time I saw it to its final diappearance was a matter of less than a minute.

I have always considered myself to be a rational thinking person. I have scoffed at people who try to make their statements the final word about anything. When I've heard "eyewitness testimony" about supernatural things, I take it with a grain of salt. I never take one person's word, and I guess I really never consider anything to be a closed case- I'll listen to any opinion or argument. With God as my witness, over the course of about forty-five seconds I became "one of those people", the ones who claim to have seen a UFO. But I saw what I saw, and I've never seen anything like that in person before. With my own eyes I witnessed something I cannot for the life of me explain.

Many people over the last 20 some odd years have been getting spooked over the odly more recent activity of "UFO" objetcts in the sky. The problem is that 90% of what we've seen, What i've seen, and even shockingly enough, what on this very page, is not Alien but very terrestrial. If your cross associete and cross reference 75% of the "Sighting" locaions with Military test sites, Private airports, and even Commercial weapon or research facilities you'll notice a striking revalation in which most of them, Im not saying all, becouse even I the skeptic have actualy seen "Creatures" of an undefined origin, or had experences that are not to un chilling for me to openly discuss, seem to always be within a 25 to 50 mile radius of these "Sightenings". With this being but the tip of a proverbial contenental sized Iceburg of explanations in conjunction with the fact to this day close to 75% of the research that the germains were either researching, contemplating, or had completed still classified under groupds of "National Security", is it any wonder why we see so many odd and unusualy vehicles flying our friendly skies? Remember, he who wins a war wins the technology of their fallen enimies, and when we analise WW2, Both Japan and Germany were very advanced to such scales that to this day our own government is still sorting out the scales of technology that both contries were simply playing with. Hell, Japan had a small maned jet plane, that was effectivly a first stage ICBM called the "Death Blossom" that they succesfuly launched at our Fleets some 20 or 30 times. Missles that were piloted by an actual Human being with a payload equal to 50 tons of force. With this knowledge and the knowledge that we are only inches from interstellar travel, is it truly any wonder or beliefe that these technologies are actualy Alien to humanity, or is it more so the simply fact that these technogies are simply Alien to us the common man? in a matter of 5 to 7 years Such Technologies as the "Moller Skycar" will be very common place, and these "Alien" crafts that we "percieve" as such will again be nothing more then the acceptance of Hyper or hytened Human advancements. Now their are yea some crafts in the sky that are not human, I'll give you that, but the crafts that are truly alien, truly extraterestrial, Are not going to look like a bad prop for a 1950 Sci film, if we are talking real technology, real advancement, then we also have to assume that the vehicle that these superior being pilot will macth the crace and style of hightened technology, not the image that many of these Photographed craft seem to portray which sadly resemble somthing in many cases that was Build of a scratch budget, by acrew that only had a couple of Thousand to create their prototype, which alas seem to be the image of most of the Intersteller, Interplanetary craft. I mean come on which youd you honestly fly, a craft that looks like its barly held together or somethign out of Star wars, Star Trek, or any other Hard core Sci FI series or film. Somthing that is sleek, smooth, and screams "I more advanced then you, and if you piss me off, I will crush you!". Maybe its just me, Matbe I'm wrong, Maybe aleins have traversed the far reaches of space in something that resembles that can that mom or dad can't quit get rid of, but are more then willing to give it to the new driver or the house as a training tool. As to my other sightings, I will post those in due time, once I have an acurate Model to display and post on this site. Me I think 90% of what we know is conjecture, and in reality 90% of what we see is more human than anything we've every percieved. Though I will have to Admit, for all you Horror and Sci Fi Buffs out their. "H.P. Lovecraft" is a very disturbing individual, expecially since what he wrote about in the 1930's as fiction, Has proven to be more real then what most people percieve as "Alien societies", to such an extent that Either (A) he was a very Talented writer for his time, or (B) he was very onto somethign very real and very factual as 90% of his data can be verified in over 12 different societies world wide including such societies as the "Hopi", Japanese, Tibetian, Chinese "Mong" society, Norway, and even Africa and egypt. If you want a serious ALien read and brain scramble for research. Pict up any 1 book of his, and then sit down, read the story, then try to verify every thing he wrote about. It will scare you!! down to where the standard americian Christian bible, has passages that support his works.
