From the speed it was approaching at, and the relative grow in size, I would esitmate it at about 35 feet in diameter, minimum.

Altitude would be about 500 feet, descending slightly as it approached me.

Started out hovering above an urban area (residential) beside a small town at about 500 feet. Headed towards me, out towards the rural area.

I was staying at my parents house for a few months in Whakatane, New Zealand about 3 km (2 miles) outside of the main township. We lived quite high up on a hill, so I could see all of the township, and all of the residential area from the house.

On one night in February 1998, I went outside to have a cigarette, and I was just looking around, pondering as I do, and I noticed a stationary orange light, slightly larger than the normal street lights moving ever so slightly around.

I didn't take much notice at first, so I watched intently thinking 'what could that be ?'

As soon as I thought this, the light started growing in size. So, I kept watching, and the light grew larger until I realised it could probably be an aircraft. So I listened for the drone of a plane, or the thud-thud-thud of a helicopter for about 8 minutes, and I was surprised that I couldn't detect either of these familiar sounds.

As the light grew larger, I started looking for navigation or anti-collision lights on the object, and I couln't see any.

The object just kept coming towards me the more I concentrated on it, until it got about 500 metres or about 2/3 of a mile from me, and still no flashing anti-col lights or nav lights, and no sound which made it even more weird as it approached.

At this point I hurried inside and just waited. For what - I don't know. My Mother awoke, and asked me what was going on and I said I saw something really weird outside, so she waited with me, but eventually nothing happened. I can still vividly remember the whole 20 minutes to this day.

The next day my Mother related to me a story of one of her friends from the local church who was about 4 months pregnant, who woke up one day, and was no longer pregnant. She was sure her unborn child was taken.

I served for 7 years in the Air Force, and I know what an aircraft looks like in the sky, be it night or day - and this was no aircraft I had ever seen.

No, I watched for sometime listening for about 10 minutes for the sound of a fixed / rotary winfgaircraft, and heard nothing. It was a very calm night - no wind or traffic noise.

I had read nothing about UFO's and I was pretty much a skeptic. M views now are that there is no reason for them not to exist. I find it amusing that people can't admit that there could be a superior intellegence than us in the universe.

The area was heavily wooded with spruce trees, willows, small grassy meadows. The nearest community was Ft. Resolution which was roughly 25 miles to the NE, The abandoned Mining town of Pine Point was 20 miles to the south. The highway we were heading for was 12 miles to the west.

On the morning of January 10-1991 , I was travelling with a companion (Sonny Balsillie) to check his trapline. We left Ft. Resolution at around 9:30 in the morning and arrived at the end of Sonny's trapline at about 11:00 a.m. While turning our snowmachine around we encountered mechanical problems (jammed Transmission) We attempted to make repairs but did not have the proper tools to do the repairs. We beagn walking the twelve miles back to the highway where we had left our vehicle and snowmobile trailer. At approx 5:00 p.m. we stopped under a large tree in the middle of a clearing to have a bite to eat. We built a small fire to dry our clothes and feet. The weather was quite mild for january -10 with light snow falling. It was dark by the time we stopped. We were there for 10-15 minutes when we began to hear off to the east a low humming, throbbing sound, like a very large engine running at idle. The sound grew nearer and nearer until it was right above our position. We did not see anything. Suddenly there was a very bright flash like a huge flashbulb going off directly above us which lit up the entire area. After a few seconds another large flash occured and a few seconds after that a third flash. The humming and throbbing sound continued all the while. After about five minutes the sound began to move to the west until it gradually faded away completely. We stared at each other for a few minutes and decided to get out of there, continuing our walk to the highway. We arrived back at the highway around 11:00 p.m., loaded the snowmachine and headed back to Ft. Resolution arriving home just before midnight. We told our wives what had happened but I don't know if we convinced them or not. At no time during the entire episode did we see anything, just the flashing lights , and the sound of something running. There was almost an electrical feeling in the area all the time.

I am a private pilot and I do not know of any aircraft, either fixed wing or rotary wing that makes the sound that we heard. As I stated, we did not see anything physical. My job as a forestry officer allows me many hours in both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. I was spending upwards of 1000 hrs a season in helicopters as well as several hundred hours a season in fixed wing aircraft.

I fully believe in ufo's but only of the manmade sort. I do not believe that we are being visited by aliens or beings from other planets. The action of the object could resemble that of a balloon as it seemed to move very slowly away from us. That would not explain the strange sounds we heard. The lights are easily explained as any commercial aircraft has extremely bright lights (normally 28 volt lights) I have read many reports on ufo's over the years as I have always been an aircraft buff. I have never put much faith in stories of alien encounters, abductions and so on. However I do firmly believe that there are aircraft out there that may not be in the public eye.

I have always wondered about the strange humming sound. I have worked in a mine around very large equipment and there is nothing that sounds like what we experienced that night

The first ship was a blue flashing cigar shaped ship. The second one was a red circular disk shaped object. They were pretty light. They were both glowing and when they both flew off there was, what appeared to be, a plasmic glow. When they flew off it was a very bright flash of light.

Size of Object(s)

The cigar-shaped ship was about an inch and the disk ship was about half an inch. If they were right in front of me i would have to think the cigar shaped ship was 50 ft. wide and 20ft. tall and the disk ship was 30 ft by 10 ft.

I was in a little rural town. The closest power plant was the Wilmington Nuclear Power Plant and the nearest military base was the Joliet Army Training Base.

I was outside watching the south sky when a say a blue light flashing in the sky. A few moments later it shot a red ship out of it. The ship circled the sky then flew back to the west and stayed there for more than 7 days. The blue ship was cigar-shaped and the small ship was a disk. Both left the sky in a flash of light. They both flew south and I saw then a week later they both came back and within one hour both were gona to the south, once again in a flash of light.

We for some reason looked up it was a very low over cast day and there was this object or ship just under the clouds it was black in nature it looked very cruffed up a little like it came from far away some of the details that it had was these thick bands that raped around the center and it tapered out top and bottom with these bands running two each end with large spaces in between them and in thoses spaces there was the circular markings like port wholes I was not sure if it was for port wholes closed but it looked old or anient and traved a long way but you could never tell me that I was seeing thinks I can still see it today in my head thats why I know there is life out beyond this world and you could not change my mind and i could think less of what you thought about me for telling you I know because I have really seen

It was classic round, with a long tale ("saucer shape") with very bright twinkling yellow-green lights, "moving around" the object.

It is very hard to guess, but when the tail was turned off, it had about the same edge as the full moon, I saw in the same time, and the tail was maybe twice as long. The relative size, on just the round, was about the top of my finger.

It was right in my neighbourhood right! over a lot of houses, in a small town, quite close to (or very close if you are flying) a recently shoot down nuclear power station, and I guess many other sites too, since it is very close to quite big cities both in Sweden, and Copenhagen, in Denmark.

It was early morning, and dark outside. I was laying in my bed, and suddenly saw a strange twinkling round object, with a long twinkling "tail", flying outside my window. I went up, and shortly after my first sight, the long twinkling "tail", dissapeared/got turned off, and the object looked like it was only round, (the classic UFO shape, you always think off) When I reached my window, it was standing still, or sometimes moving just a little up, down, or to the sides, right in front of me, in the sky, with three big squared lights twinkling bright all the time.(About every secound, and the twinkling were moving around the object) I staired at it for a while, (some secounds, or a minute) and then ran downstairs, to tell, and get my dad who were up, and in the kitchen. He ran upstairs with me, but when we got there it was gone, and we just saw a little twinkling light dissapear behind some trees. So shortly after I went back to bed. Some minutes later, I saw it again, flying in very high speed, about 4-5 times faster then airplanes high up in the sky, and now also quite much highter then before. I think the "tail", or at least parts of it, was on again, but I am not sure, it was so fast, so it was gone before I even got up from bed, and that was my last sight of it.

I live very close to a big airport in Denmark, so I see airplanes and helicopters from my window all the time, so I am really shore it was not an airplane or something like that. Oval shaped with no distinctive features. The crafts emitted an extremely bright orange/yellow light evenly from their entire surface.

About 1/2 inch between fingers at arms length. Given the distance between me and the craft I estimate that they must each have been at least the size of a very large blimp.

Very rural, high-desert area of the Mojave desert. Both George AFB (my destination and place of work) and Edwards AFB are in this area.

Driving from home in Wrightwood, CA to work at George AFB in a 2-door sedan with 2 co-workers eastbound on Hwy 18 between Sheep Creek Rd and Hwy 395 near Phelan, CA. Myself and other witnesses were F4-Phantom Weapons Control Technicians in the USAF. My eastbound view was of mountains on horizon with first glow of sunrise behind mountains.

Weather calm and completely clear. 1st large oval rises up from directly behind mountains due east from me. Motion is slow, floating like a blimp or balloon. At first I thought it was a large blimp with a mirror-like exterior reflecting the sunlight (sun was below the eastern horizon during the entire encounter), object was extremely bright, yet had a distinct oval outline. After rising a few degrees above mountains object stopped all motion. Total time to rise up was about 2 minutes. Second identical object then began to rise just to the left of the first object.

Second object moved identically to first, then stopped next to first at equal altitude. Third identical looking object then began to rise just to right of first object, at same slow rate, until it was at equal altitude with other 2 objects. All three objects remained still for about 2 more minutes. Very curious sight at this time, but all witnesses still thought objects were blimps. Right-most object then begins to rise slowly above others, stops completely, then moves from a complete stop to a point slightly above the horizon almost directly due south of us (visible out the right side of the car) in about 2 or 3 seconds then comes to a complete stop again. No acceleration or deceleration was apparent. Middle object then does exactly the same, stopping next to the other above the southern horizon. Third object then repeats the same exact maneuver.

When all 3 were stopped hovering next to each other then all 3 objects slowly descended towards the ground until disappearing on the southern horizon. Objects retained their extreme brightness throughout the entire encounter, even when in a position near the southern horizon where there was no sunlight to reflect in my direction. All witnesses agreed with each other not to speak of the sighting due both to fear of ridicule, and due to the fact that all of us were under orders to speak of any potential UFO sightings ONLY to our commanding officer (to my knowledge all AF personnel, including myself and the witnesses, at the time were required to sign a statement acknowledging the order upon enlisting in the AF).

Before the sighting I was a complete non-believer, a very scientifically-minded skeptic. I was exposed to some material about UFOs prior to this, but no more than the average person at that time - it was not a subject of interest to me prior to my sighting. Obviously, now I know they exist - which in itself implicates many in positions of authority who continue to deny this fact. I feel like someone who knows a rare truth that most are not aware of, and that I'm fighting a constant battle with those who try to keep the truth from us. I know that I'm right, and they are wrong, but how do I prove it? What do I do with this knowledge I have? It hurts me deeply as a devoted and patriotic American to know that the government that I am supposed to trust is lying and deceiving the public. It causes me to lose nearly all trust in my government, and it's not my fault - it's theirs. I feel as if I have been cursed with this first-hand knowledge, because there has never been any "closure" for me. At this point I have come to the conclusion that we must have more to fear from our own government than we do from the UFOs - and it is our own government's actions compared to those reported concerning UFOs that have led me to this conclusion. What I am supposed to teach my children concerning them trusting their government - about the rightness of truth and the evil of lies? I am very sad and angry.

A good friend and I were driving home from a road trip in arizona, On interstate 5, about 2 hours south of San Francisco, at about 9:30 P.M., december 13TH., 2005.

we were listening to music and kind of spacing out, fairly foggy at the time, when we witnessed directly in front of our view a very bright light, (bigger and brighter then any airplane i've ever seen) traveling across the horrizen at a tremendous speed and in a very humanly impossible zig-zagging motion. Very shocking to both of us.

sighting only lasted a few seconds but was enough to convince me it was not a meteor or known human aircraft.

It was mid-evening, I was out on the balcony having a smoke when this ball of orange light caught my eye. It travelled downwards zig-zagging at a high rate of knots then shot diagonally toward the ground to the east of it's position of where it started! It looked to be over the ocean from where I was, at Warnbro looking north towards Fremantle. And where it was headed looked to be Fremantle.I thought "That was not an aeroplane or any other manned flight" because of the speed and directional change factors!!

I was driving around on the Nullarbor as a professional rabbit shooter, on this one night the area around me lit up like there had been a lightning strike, except that the area lit up green!! As I looked out of my vehicle I saw this huge green ball emitting green light, then I heard these explosions, boom,boom, boom, and really bright green light at each explosion. It had a trail behind it ,as it was heading from north to south. It's giving me goosebumps just remembering that night!! There was a strong feeling of static in the air, and I'll never forget how bright the area around me was.The explosions from it were sort of muffled.I say this because it never hurt my ears, maybe it's because the noise that my vehicle was making,quiettened the noise down!!
