My Husband was in the Navy, we were traveling to next duty station---Long Beach, CA. We stopped at the rest stop outside Kingman, AZ to let our 3 small sons out to run about. This obect slowly appeared above the reststop and just stopped and hovered about 20 minutes. All the cars seemed to pull into the stop to get a better look. After about hovering for 20 minutes it began taking off slowly from west to east. All of us about 40 were asking each other "what was that?" When we got to CA we reported the sighting to the Police.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Definitely not !
