Appearance / Description of Object(s)

At first: It was shaped like a kite. It was multi-coloured, and I saw the colours shift as it flew. It was about medium brightness, slightly glowing. It flew very fast. After splitting: It became two discs (or saucers) that flew exactly side by side. They were brilliant white, and very bright, with a strange glow. They curved upwards as they flew off.

It was a suburban park, flying over a soccer field.

I am 13. I am in grade 8 and in my last year of Elementary school. As I was riding home on the bus on this day, I was looking out the window for Halloween decorations when I saw what I at first thought was a kite. What piqued my interest was that it flying very fast (it flew across the soccer field in about 3 seconds. I kept watching, and it did something peculiar; as it neared the horizon it became two saucers-or discs if you will-that shot off at even greater speeds than the first,curving slightly upward as they did so.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Might have been a kite, but that doesn't explain how it split into two discs.
