Almost like a star, unblinking lights, but almost too dull to be lights given how far away they must be, judging by the horizon.

The lights or discs form shapes around the size of a full moon in the sky.

Over 12 miles away, approx 2000ft above the ground.

A number (between 4 and 7) of what looked like dull white lights or discs have been repeatedly seen in the sky to the West of Camp Bastion in Afghanistan. They appear individually or in small groups and then move over a period of minutes to form geometric shapes - lines, triangles, circles. They then, usually one by one, disappear again.

I have seen this a number of times personally, both at the date stated and the previous year and there are at least dozens of others who have seen the same.

Given the amount of air traffic in the area most dismiss these as a drone, helicopter or suchlike, however there are similar sightings documented on this site about white discs.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Yes, seems likely and I don't believe in aliens as such, but cant explain the objects as any kind of technology that I am familiar with.

I do not believe in aliens or anything supernatural, I only posted this because I happened upon a reference to a similar sounding sighting in another part of the world.
