I was adjusting channels on the TV when I looked out of the window and saw a silvery object moving through the sky - one which did not look like anything I had ever seen before. So, I ran outside to get a closer view (and to confirm that it wasn't an airplane). I was amazed to see a round object flying overhead and to the northeast. The shape was clearly visible and part of it seemed to be rotating. It was a very silvery white colour - hard to describe - a touch translucent. I couldn't see any lights or windows. Soon it was gone.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Could have been man-made - definitiely not natural.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I don't read much - find it boring and inefficient. Had no views before the sighting - Have had doubts over the last 40 years - questioning my own eyes. Largely because I've never seen anything like it again. But am still convinced that what I saw was most unusual - and leave it at that. Do I believe in intelligent life in the universe - yes. Do I think we are being observed - I believe this may be a strong possibility. By who, what, - I don't know.
