Appearance / Description of Object(s)Round, red-orange, about 3 feet across. It seemed solid yet of a finer texture. It almost seemed translucent, yet I couldn't see through it, and the color was flat, not shiny Size of Object(s)Round, about 3 to 5 feet in diameter. Description of Area / SurroundingsTolmie State Park - heavily wooded with firs and maples. The park borders the Puget Sound, but where I was on the hiking trail was approx. 1/4 mile inland from the water. Full Description & DetailsWhile hiking in Tolmie State Park, I happened to turn around and looked across the hillside and a red-orange ball, approx 3 ft wide, was just hanging still in the air. It didn't look like the consistency of a rubber ball or balloon, but it was opaque. I just turned back around and kept walking, pretending I hadn't seen it, since it startled me so.
