I was parking my car outside my friends house in Pomaria Road, Henderson, Auckland NZ. It was around 8.30pm and since it was summer, it was still light. As I parked the car, and got out of it, I glanced up at the sky, and there just above me was a HUGE object just hanging in the sky. We lived, at the time, in a house on the air base at RNZAF Hobsonville, as my ex- husband was a chef in the Air Force. I was used to seeing plances of all sizes coming in to land at RNZAF Whenuapi, and olso helicopters at Hobsonville, but this was like nothing else I have ever seen. It just hung there, in the sky, no sound, nothing. It wasnt a helicopter as there was no sound of rotors, nor was there any sign of any. It wasnt a plane, as no plane that I knew of could just hang in the air like that object did.

It was sort of elliptical shaped, and had lights around the bottom. It scared me, and I started to run down my friends' path to her back door. I was looking up behind me as I ran, and it seemed to be following me. This was probably just my imagination, as I see no reason why it should follow me.

As I got to the door and rang the bell, I was getting a little frantic, in case whoever was in the object did something to me. Peter, my friends' son opened the door, and saw me there in a state of anxiety. He asked me what was wrong and I could just point to the sky and say 'Look' . As he looked up, both he and I saw the object take off at a tangent, and at such speed it was impossible that it was of earthly origins. Nothing on this earth moves like that. Both Peter and I saw the thing go away, and all we saw were red lights as it disappeared. I firmly believe that it was a UFO. It has to be. It couldnt be anything from this planet.

I had a grammar school education and have an interest in many subjects. My occupations have been varied, hairdresser, office manager, and recently I owned and operated my own 25 bedroomed hotel.

Other Comments

I firmly believe that we have been visited by UFOs. We cannot possibly be the only life form in the universe. I also believe that they have come here for freindly purposes. I read Chariots of the Gods by Von Danniken in the 70's, after I had the sighting, and it re-inforced my beliefs. I will be sending an email with a drawing of the ufo as soon as I can get it done.
