Full Description & Details

My girlfriend and I were standing on the balcony walkway in front of her apartment, which is on the fifth floor, and I saw two lights out over the beach. The lights were high up in the sky over the beach (I cant guess what altitude or distance) and they were red. They were equidistant from ach other and they moved in unison like they were on a string. I couldn't hear any jet or propellor engines, so I assumed that it was a blimp. The lights were completing a slow rotation of a complete circle, out over the beach, then on to land, over and behind the apartment complec, and then back out over the ocean. When the two lights flew close enough to the apartment building, I could see stars between the two lights and I concluded that they were definitely two separate craft. Everytime the the two lights got out over the ocean, the two separate red lights would blink, in unison, three times like this: red, red, red, .......and then they both went to bright white. After the bright white had started to fade, they went back to red and continued on their circle.

I haven't thought about this for a long time, but recently, I was watching a tv show about UFO's and I saw, on film, the exact same thing as I saw that night. So, apparently I wasn't the only one who thought that these lights were UFO's.
