Full Description & Details

We saw something like 10 objects in the sky.. they were a couple of miles away so I couldn't see their shape very well, but they were approximately round. They were grouped rather randomly but all were moving in the same direction and the same speed, maintaining their relative positions in a very level trajectory, perhaps 1000 feet AGL. It seemed they were moving faster than the wind but slower than an airplane. Some of them were gold colored, others red and blue. Some of them seemed to be flashing slowly.. either they had a flat side and were rotating as they flew or they were producing the light internally, but either way there was a definite change in intensity of the color of the gold as well as the red colored objects. We watched them for 3 or 4 minutes until they disappeared into some clouds further down. About two minutes later a small jet like a trainer or small fighter arrived and flew right in the clouds where these objects had gone.. we saw it come out the other side and make a big circle around the area. The jet made a couple more orbits around the area and left.
